Wh My wife and I arrived within an hour of closing for a test drive and was warmly greeted. The car was ready to go and my wife and I went for a ride. When we returned we had decided to purchase the car. The salesman and staff were great and got our paperwork completed professionally. Closing time came and went, no one was trying to hurry us up or pressure sale us because it was after hours. All of our questions were answered and the purchase went smoothly. I highly recommend Honda of Fife and the entire staff. Thank you Terry for having all of our answers and taking the time to explain the features. More

It was scheduled at a time that accommodated my busy weekend, and their brake flush work on my car started within 5 minutes of my arrival. It was quickly completed within 35 minutes. Although the telephone quote for this service had stated an erroneous charge which was in my favor, when I presented this information to the service advisor, Cole (?), when he was explaining the normal charges, he adjusted the bill yet lower than the initial quote. This demonstrates a customer-centered service department that lives up to their promises. More

OTD price was good; but will not be returning. The Costco Auto program promises "an easy, hassle-free experience with hand-selected dealerships nationwide." This was my first time buying a new car, The Costco Auto program promises "an easy, hassle-free experience with hand-selected dealerships nationwide." This was my first time buying a new car, and after some of my past experiences buying cars, I thought that a "hassle-free experience" sounded really great. Honda of Fife is a Costco Auto program participating dealer. I got in touch with them and corresponded with a member of the internet sales team who is one of the Costco Authorized Contacts at the dealership. I asked about the price, and was given an amount and told that that was the price, plus tax, title, and licensing fees. It was a good price. Easy enough so far. I know that Honda dealers always throw in some mandatory accessories, and while I'm generally skeptical of (and don't want) special treatments to paint, cloth, windows, etc., I wasn't going to fight it because it's already on the car, and they can't really take it off. Not worth fighting about. However, I did see that all-weather mats were included. I asked about removing those because I was going to be buying an aftermarket floor-liner, and I didn't want to be stuck with the Honda mats. (If everyone else is forced to get these mats with their car, I can't get rid of them by selling them. I don't want to take them home and have them sit in my garage or go straight in the trash. That seems really wasteful.) The internet sales rep that I corresponded with said that they could be flexible because they didn't want to lose sales on accessories. Great! On the morning of my appointment, I learned that the mandatory accessories were NOT included in the price I had been quoted. I should have cancelled my appointment right then, but I didn't. When I arrived, the sales specialist I worked with was not someone I had corresponded with before (apparently a common practice), and tried to convince me that I really needed those all weather mats. First, he tried to tell me about how they would protect my vehicle. Then he told me about that Toyota fiasco where accelerators pedals were getting stuck on some floor mats. (And I'm thinking to myself, "Are you telling me that you vehicles are as dangerous as those Toyota vehicles?") He also tried to inquire about which product I was buying instead of the Honda all weather mats and how much it cost. I should have just left at that point, but I didn't. Finally, I threw out there that there were some other accessories I was interested in, and asked if he could at least find out about removing the protection package and replacing it with the roof rack rails. After some back room discussion (to which I was not privy), that was okay. I have good credit and so I figured I would probably qualify for the 0.9% financing special. After the lack of transparency about the accessories, I wasn't sure if they would try to pull a fast one on me. They told me that I qualified for the promotional financing, but I had to ask several times before someone would show me any documentation that I did qualify for the financing rate. The finance manager was really friendly and helpful. Actually, everyone was very polite and seemed like they were at least *trying* to be helpful, but the sales specialist did not Overall, my wife, infant child, and I spent nearly 5 hours inside that dealership. (I don't know why on earth it takes so long. They definitely weren't busy.) I'm happy with the vehicle itself and the price I paid, but I regret going to Honda of Fife. If I were to do it over again, I would have worked with one of the dealers that is closer that will allow you complete the purchase online and then deliver the car to your house. Afterwards, I learned that friends of mine had purchased their vehicle at Honda of Fife, and worked with the same sales rep. When they were purchasing the vehicle, Honda of Fife tried to send them home with a different van than the one that they test drove (and thought they were negotiating for). Had I know that, I would not have gone to Honda of Fife in the first place. To the management: Be transparent with customers. If there are mandatory accessories that are included with a vehicle, mention them and their price when someone asks about the price of a vehicle. Also, if someone comes in from the Costco Auto program, set that customer up with someone who will honor the Costco Auto program promise of a hassle-free experience. To potential customers: If you want a slightly better deal than other dealers in the area, it seems like you can get it at Honda of Fife, but be prepared to go through a meat-grinder. If you want a hassle-free experience, go elsewhere. More
