They seem to be unfamiliar with their new Plug-in hybrid We purchased our Honda Clarity Plugin from Honda of Fife four months ago and have had to take our car in for service three separate times. Each time t We purchased our Honda Clarity Plugin from Honda of Fife four months ago and have had to take our car in for service three separate times. Each time the service department was unfamiliar with aspects of our vehicle. The first was to fix an incorrect range estimate, the second was to have them install sound dampeners underneath the car that they forgot to install, and the third was for an oil change. The frustrating thing is that we have gone less than 1000 on our gas engine (the other 5000 miles were in electric mode), but we were still prompted by the maintenance minder to get an oil change. This seems like a glitch with the maintenance minder and when we asked about it the service department was again confused/unsure what to do. We were told that this is normal for Honda vehicles, but Honda even advertised the Clarity as only needing oil changes every 12,000 miles (or 1 year) if driven primarily in electric mode. I wish that the service department were better informed about the vehicles that they work on. In addition, each time I call regarding an issue they say they will call me back, but never do. It is frustrating working with the service department at Honda of Fife. More
