Frustrating and Drawn Out but Got Better I was trying to purchase a pre-owned vehicle and it wasn't the most pleasant experience. I talked to a salesman and scheduled a time to be there to l I was trying to purchase a pre-owned vehicle and it wasn't the most pleasant experience. I talked to a salesman and scheduled a time to be there to look at the vehicle. I went out the way to meet with the salesman i was talking to by leaving work earlier to meet with him because the other days he would not be available. I stayed in contact throughout the day and scheduled the viewing for 5pm. When i got there at 5:02, the salesman was with another client, so i was helped by another (no big deal). This other salesman and I could not come to a deal that day. I called a few days later to get some more information on the vehicle i was looking at, but the salesman was unavailable, so i left a message. I never got a call back. I called again 2 days later to try and talk with the salesman again but he still was unavailable, but i at least got a call back. He could not answer my question, but assured me he would let me know. He never did follow up and i had to call back once again the following day. I ended up going back to the dealership to talk with a different salesman. This time it was a little better experience, but still had one issue. We ended up making a deal on the vehicle, so the salesman told me that they were going to fill up the car with fuel. When i went to drive away they filled it up to 3/4 tank. With gas prices so low would the extra $5 in fuel really hurt? Then, the salesman acted like he did me a favor by putting mid grade fuel, 89 octane, in the car, which is the minimum octane rating. The little things go a long way, like a full tank of fuel and good communication. There was light at the end of the tunnel and someone did reach out to me about the experience i was having and was willing to rectify the situation. There wasn't much to do at this point, but the little things go a long way, as stated earlier. sometimes every experience isn't going to be great, but it's what they do to try to make it better. The offer to fill up my gas tank for me was that little thing that goes a long way. All in all, it's hard to find a good dealership, but Honda is going that extra mile to be a great dealership. More
