I did go in and visit Cleveland Honda location on saturday afternoon. I called Sharon at 4PM and David the manager said she had already left for the day. I told David I spoke to you and you left my info with Sharon, he asked me for my name and he said he found my info to go ahead and come in. One of your sales guys meet us in the parking lot and told us where to park the vehicles for inspection. After the inspection the sales guy showed me written on a scrap piece of paper the offer, $16K for the CRV then $7k for the GMC van. I told him I what I was offered at Economy Honda on friday which was $16k for the CRV and $9k for the GMC. Then he spoke to David and came back and Matched Economy's offer. David said to me he was happy to match Economy's offer to get our business. We agreed to the purchase and were sent to your finance guy Steve. We completed all of the finance paper work then Steve showed me the Invoice which reflected a purchase price over $41K. He called the sales guy Rick into his office and I explained to him that the price you quoted me was $36840.00 and that David said he found my info so I thought the price should be in there. The sales guy never spoke to me about the sales price when the were offering on the trades so I was thinking they knew the price that you and I spoke about on Friday Morning. I told them what Economys price was which I showed them on the internet from my phone. Steve and the sales guy left the office then made some phone calls. It then became somewhat chaotic. I was told you never left them any price info, then I was told they could sell the car for the price im telling them you quoted me but not with trades, and I was told maybe you didnt know I was trading in two vehicles and so on thats to name a few of the possible reasons for the problem. I am still a bit confused about what happened and I understand it was closing time and some people had gone home but my family and I were there for over two hours then kicked to the curb at least thats how we felt. I didnt realize Cleveland Honda closed at 6 because the internet said you close at 7:30. They put the tag back on my car and said when I realize the deal economy was offering does not work out I could always come back. Brandon gave me a price of $36840.00 I was to go in and get the vehicles appraised which I did that and David and the sales guy Rick offered me $25000.00 for my trades what went wrong? More
The deal was straight up and fast. Robert Lawson gives you bottom dollar so you don' have to haggle. They give you top dollar for your trade. The minute we walked in the door everyone was super friendly. We went there to test drive a specific car we saw online. Honda of Cleveland made my car purchase as friendly and easy as possible. I could not have asked for a more professional staff from Ashley and Sharon in internet sale to Terry in sales to Bob in finance ev easy as possible. Ashley and Sharon were very friendly and knowledgeable. If they did not know the answer, they would not lie or guess. They would find the answer and call me back. I walked into the dealership expected the same pushy experience I had just been through with the competitor of Honda of Cleveland. My wife and I had been tossed through the typical Shark "Cheesy" sales guy and finance routine earlier in the day at the "other Honda place". That is not the case at all with Honda of Cleveland. We walked into the friendly comfortable environment of Honda of Cleveland. We Met with Terry our Sales Advisor. He led us in the right direction but let us make our own decisions on our purchase. David and Bob took care of the finance. I let them know what their competitor had said and why we left. They offered a fair deal right away and did not ever pressure us. We decided we were making the right choice. The contract portion was very user friendly and Bob took his time to really explain the details. What a Great Team!!!!!!!!!!! We will purchase from Honda of Cleveland in our upcoming purchases as well. I would recommend Honda of Cleveland to anyone. They are better than the superstore. They are priced very competitive with a Lifetime Powertrain Warranty. Yep you heard it right. Nowhere offers deals like this. DO not purchase before giving Honda of Cleveland a call. George Perkins gave me a good price on the car without any haggling or the phoney nonsense other dealers put you through. When I first got the vehicle, I compared prices and saw that Honda of Cleveland's service prices were competitive. So, I have let them do all servicing of my car. The work has always been first class and I have the peace of mind of having it done by real Honda experts. David Hickman, the General Manager, shows by his actions that he really does care about every customer being treated well and provides the leadership needed to keep the company great. Matthew who sets up the service appointments is very experienced, helpful, and seems to know the answer to all my service questions. He is very helpful and a pleasure to deal with. The service department does great work quickly and has never tried to take advantage of me. I tell people they are honest and treat every customer like their most important customer. More
