I have purchased cars before and, except for this, none have been pleasant affairs. This is my experience: THE GOOD Honda of Chantilly is a beautiful dealership. There is plenty of parking available for customers which, surprisingly, is not the case for many dealers. All of the staff, not just the salespeople, appear genuinely friendly. My salesman was Andrew McMurtry, a man in his 60's who, I felt, had aged past the point where he felt he needed to manipulate or outsmart his customer. I came to see a particular car in their inventory but also wanted to look at two other possible choices. Andrew showed me the three autos and did not try to direct my choice to any particular one. After I selected the car I was interested in we began the price negotiation. This is often the most stressful part of a car purchase but not here. Rather than, as is the usual norm, the salesman walking an offer over to a mysterious sales manager and then returning with a counter offer and then repeating this silly process over and over again, something miraculous occurred. The sales manager came over to me and we negotiated an agreeable price in about 3 minutes and the sale was made. No more spending hours in place of a 3 minute face to face. Why don't all dealers do this? THE EXCELLENT My Acura had a couple of minor items requiring repair -- a damaged air vent grille on the dashboard and a tire that had been temporarily repaired with tire sealant but needed a tire plug for a permanent fix. The Service Representative, Chris (last name not known to me), could have kept me waiting for hours but he did not. He was able to get my car into service quickly. What really impressed me was a small thing. I pulled out my keys and my key ring broke and keys scattered everywhere. Chris helped me round up the keys and, a short time later, came up to me in the service waiting room and gave me a new key ring with the dealership's name on it. A small thing which did not have to be done but was done without any expectation on my part. Chris is a great employee! THE LESS THAN GOOD After I purchased my Acura I discovered that it did not have a Tire Repair Kit. Acura does not include a spare tire but instead provides a Tire Repair Kit that includes tire sealant that plugs tire holes and also an air compressor that plugs into the auto's power plug to inflate the damaged tire. Since I had just purchased my Acura and it did not have a Tire Repair Kit I asked for one. I was told that the Used Car Manager whose name I do not know said my car was a used car and it was not his responsibility to provide one. I purchased a Tire Repair Kit from Amazon.com for $39. This was my only less than good experience and I do not believe the dealership should risk customer dissatisfaction over a $39 item. More

Craig King is the best Tech, he did a wonderful job on my car and explained everything to me and helped to ease my anxiety over the whole experience. Chris Durbin provides excellent customer service! I took my used vehicle in to have an engine noise looked at. Chris was very knowledgeable, helpful, and took great care of me. I have been back several times to ask more questions, discuss repair options, etc. and he has been there for me every step of the way. I could not have had a better experience anywhere! It is so refreshing to find someone who is knowledgeable in their job, and gets answers for you. (Even though the answers might not be great! My car is a junker!) I highly recommend going in to Honda of Chantilly. When you go in, ask for Chris Durbin. He will be able to take care of you and your car! More

The entire staff was welcoming and friendly, and clearly had my best interest in mind throughout the process. My salesperson (Saxon) was very knowledgeable and listened closely to my wants and must-haves before showing me the available options. I test drove two cars and asked a million questions, and I never once felt rushed or that I was annoying the salesperson. He was patient and informative and made me feel like he was on "my team." The sales manager (Chris) met with me as well, and right away I knew I would be getting a fair deal. The sales team was professional and honest. There were no surprises throughout this process. I even changed my mind totally about the car I wanted to purchase well into the buying process. Saxon and Chris were very patient and were happy to talk with me about the new car I was interested in. Chris worked quickly and efficiently to give me all the information I needed in making my final decision. The finance manager I worked with (Dan) was very friendly and eager to complete my buying process. I had come in close to closing time, so by this time it was after closing and Dan still seemed enthusiastic and happy about working with me. He was knowledgeable and efficient. There were no hidden fees or last-minute add-ons. Dan worked very quickly and explained all documents clearly and precisely. I had an amazing experience with Honda of Chantilly, and I would advise anyone looking to purchase a car to go out and see these great guys! More

My husband and I had been to a few dealerships before going to Honda of Chantilly (we're from Gaithersburg, so it was a hike!) one night and this place swept us off our feet. We got there at about 8pm but we finally left around midnight with our new (to us) and totally amazing vehicle. They are a state of the art car dealership. Aside from the gorgeous, brand new facility, we were immediately impressed with the music (of all things) they had playing. We made several subsequent trips there over the course of a few months and we always enjoyed their music. It's not unusual to have to wait your turn to see whomever you're going there to see, but they have a totally classy waiting area. Very comfortable, ample seating, and free YUMMY Starbucks coffee. They also have a quiet room with a massage chair. We may have used it. More than once. :) We couldn't have purchased our car without the wonderful Dan Frappollo in Finance. We were also assisted (and WOW'd) by Sales Manager Nik and Chris in Service. They're well worth the drive from anywhere in the DC metro area. We'd recommend them to anyone we do or don't know! PS -- if you're purchasing a used vehicle, you aren't treated like a 2nd class citizen at Honda of Chantilly like you are at many other local dealerships. No shady stand-alone buildings for the used car peeps. Everyone is treated the same here and everyone functions out of the same building! Feels good! More

I referred to the the exact words written in the warranty contract and asked for explanation of why they don't do the job under warranty, and now, and skinny guy shows up and starts argument and when they are cornered and couldn't find a proper reason to give he just raised the voice and tried to dominate as if he is ready to hit me. unfortunately I didnt get their names but, these sorry a*ses just lost my ~35Grand business as I am in talks with the sales department about the new Odyssey. More
