In December 2022 I purchased a pre-owned car, and the experience was sobering. Right after signing the contract, I realized some noise was coming from the front wheels. At their service I learned that I needed to pay $1,700 to replace the struts. This came after the salesman, Mr. Pirzada, assured me that the dealer will fix all the issues on the car. As soon as I signed the contract, they changed the tune: "The struts are not essential to pass the inspection, you have to pay $1,700". On the way out, he handed me ONE key, and said - it will cost $350 to get another copy of the key. Finally, he forgot to mail my documents to DMV, so I waited 2 months to receive the car registration. I have a deep regret for doing business with Honda of Chantilly. More
We visited in nye 2022 and Camille was quick to meet us on the lot and get us in a test drive quickly. I had actually looked at these reviews prior and was happy she was the first contact as I saw many wer on the lot and get us in a test drive quickly. 7 Weeks Later and Still Waiting on my $5,370. 27 Refund Honda of Chantilly confirmed receipt (via email) of my request to cancel both extended vehicle coverage and a vehicle service contract on 0 27 Refund Honda of Chantilly confirmed receipt (via email) of my request to cancel both extended vehicle coverage and a vehicle service contract on 03 September 2022. On 24 September I requested Honda of Chantilly provide a status of my refunds totaling $5,370.27. I was informed the cancellation requests had not been processed and were sitting in the dealerships accounting office due to a paperwork discrepancy. Mind you I had to call the dealer to learn this information. On 26 September I went to the dealership and signed new cancellation requests and was told both forms would be expedited to not lose any more time. On 14 October, I requested the dealer provide an update on the status of both cancellations. I received a response on 20 October stating a status would be provided by COB that day. Still waiting. I called the carriers of the service contracts, Honda Financial and EG Assurance on 20 October. The folks I talked to at HF and EG very nice, and helpful. They both stated they received the cancellation requests from the dealership on 19 October. Both indicated they processed the claims the day of receipt. Honda Financial states it’ll take 2-3 more weeks for them to process and send the check. EG Assurance said they processed the request, and the check was sent the same day. So good experiences there. It appears for the second time that Honda of Chantilly sat on my cancellation requests for another three weeks. I believe the requests were sent only after my second request for status. So much for expediency. I left a pleasant voice mail with the Honda of Chantilly Finance Manager yesterday (10/20) and have yet to hear back. I had a very pleasant purchase and finance experience. I gave the sales and finance folks the highest survey reviews, they earned it. Would gladly deal with them again at another dealership. FYI, I purchased a 2022 Passport Elite on 30 May and traded it for a Mazda CX 9 GT on 15 August. I cannot recommend the Passport, and I withdraw my previous recommendation for this dealership. A phone call and an apology would have sufficed, but you deserve this review and the public needs to know. More
I purchased a new Honda Accord Sport this week for my 70th birthday present. Except for my first $50 Chevy, every experience buying a new car has better than heart surgery but worse than a root canal. Af 70th birthday present. After suffering through many Honda and Toyota Dealers in the area, I visited Honda of Chantilly. What a refreshing experience. The salesman knew about all the cars, he negotiated a deal and got my Honda on the way in less than an hour and called a day early to advise my new Honda was ready for pickup. Now this will be hard to believe: the last stop with the business manager was fun! So I have my new Honda and the collision mitigation system kept me from hitting a deer the first day. Honda of Chantilly is a fun place to visit, a great place to pick a new car and the only smart place to buy one. Thank you for the new car and for the fantastic staff that made buying a car fun again. I'm going there for a coffee next week just to enjoy being there. More
