After browsing their website I was contacted by Morocco who was friendly and helpful from start to finish. Morocco took into consideration my needs and budget and found me a fantastic Jeep that was affordable and had low miles. I was not expecting to be considered for such a new, beautiful SUV based on past experiences with less reputable dealerships. It was late and banks were not responding so I returned the next afternoon after we finally received an offer. Morocco was so patient and courteous and made my dreams come true! I also dealt with Steve, who was also very friendly and helpful. Steve was also encouraging about getting my credit back on track and went over my options for the future. I'm very appreciative of all their hard work and dedication to their customers! I will be a lifelong customer for sure! More

We are extremely dissapoined in the managers at Sims honda in Burlington and Northwest Honda in Bellingham. This week, for the first time in my life, we were victims of what may have been bait and switch methods while looking for a car for my son at Sims Honda. We were quoted a reasonable price on a car we liked - we repeated the quote to a room full of salesmen (we were in the office area haggling the price for ten minutes with around 3-4 salesmen). After using both our bank's value tool (Nada) and their proprietary inhouse pricing software, a quote was confirmed orally "plus tax and license." We said we'd only pay that amount if we loved it after a test drive. Spirits were high and we went on the test drive. It should be noted the quote wasn't tossed out in quick conversation with a salesman, it was after ten minutes of negotiation in a room full of salesmen. The test drive went excellent! We fell in love with the car returned to the dealership, spent another 10 mintues discussing the car with my son, then decided to make the leap and purchase the car! At last! A reasonable car for almost the fair market price!! Nope. When we told the salesman we'd like to buy, he feined surprise that we were quoted that price ten minutes ago. We felt manipulated into wasting the time researching, meeting with our bank, negotiating and taking the test drive and my son was crushed since we'd already been looking for a car for so long. I explained that this felt like bait and switch, and even spoke to the managers of both locations (Andrew, Todd, Bobby, etc...) to stand behind their salesman's word. The final excuse was that "we were only saying that quote to see if you were a serious buyer." Manager Andrew at Sims said "he thought it was tacky" to quote low like that then raise the price, but in the next breath told us we were rude for insisting they stick to their oral quote. Their final "apology" was one of those "we're sorry you're upset" but they didn't take any responsibility for their employee's unethical practices. Their final offer after half-hearted "apology" was still $2000 over Fair Market Price after tax and licencing - because "they'd put so much into this car already." Very dissapointed and disheartened by my experience with them, and their collective inability to take resonsibility for their salesman "checking to see if we were serious buyers" with what may indeed be bait and switch selling tactics - is a serious concern. If they simply apologized and honored the originally quoted price, they could have sold so many cars with us through friends and family over the years! This short-sighted thinking just doesn't make sense to me!! We are still seeking contact with the owner Lance Sims in hopes they will stick to their word and honor their price. I know they can, but on that day, the hive mind took over and it was "us against them." very, very unfortunate experience. P.S. There's a reason it's illegal to use Bait and Switch advertising in WA state. Here's the law: RCW 19.230.340 - Prohibited practices. It is a violation of this chapter for any licensee, executive officer, responsible individual, or other person subject to this chapter in connection with the provision of money services to: (1) Directly or indirectly employ any scheme, device, or artifice to defraud or mislead any person, including but not limited to engaging in bait and switch advertising or sales practices; But as Sims Honda salesman Andrew Hovenden said to us that day when addressing our concerns "It's all in the nuance."
