High pressure sales. I am a young woman and I was a first time car buyer, the salesman made it a very stressful, and pressured experience. Pete rushed through the process I am a young woman and I was a first time car buyer, the salesman made it a very stressful, and pressured experience. Pete rushed through the process, not taking the time to thoroughly explain the process and my options. I felt as though he took advantage of my lack of experience and overwhelmed me with all of the paperwork, even after I told him I was feeling overwhelmed and pressured. I even left the dealership for a couple of hours, but I was treated with more of the same when I returned. Not to be redundant, but there was a clear pattern. High pressure and poor explanation of the car's defects. When asked if some of said defects could be repaired prior to purchase he told me, "Not to be a smart xxx but what do you expect, you're buying a used car." I needed a car right away and he was aware of that. I had just gone through a few months of car troubles and was looking forward to a reliable newer car, even if it meant stretching my college student budget. However, the dealership did a terrible job prepping the car for the lot. There was some shoddy body work done that I didn't notice until I washed the car for the first time. The car was covered with paint over spray, and the paint protection I paid to have applied to the car, wasn't. The battery was defective and died after a couple weeks owning the "certified" car. When I paid to get it replaced it was installed incorrectly, leaving me stranded with a dead car for the second time within two months. The wiper blades were also defective, passenger side blade fell right off going down I-35 in a snow storm, which resulted in a scratched windshield. The service manager, Mel, was the only person I dealt with that seemed to care about me as a customer and tried to help correct past mistakes. More

Bought a new car I’d just like to start off saying when I came to the dealership I had no intention of buying the car I did that day. Why? Because the pictures on the I’d just like to start off saying when I came to the dealership I had no intention of buying the car I did that day. Why? Because the pictures on the internet were terrible. And why did I buy it? Because of Austin Oppenheimer. Not only was Austin 100% professional, but he went above and beyond to sell me this car. After exchanging a few texts over a couple of days he text me a picture of the car. And wow did the picture he send me look nothing like the one on your guys website. It’s little things like that that make a huge difference. Clearly. Then on top of that. Aaron (didn’t catch his last name) got me one heck of a deal and even threw in some interior modifications to sweeten the deal. I will forever keep buying Honda cars due to the reliability and as long as I’m in the metro I will always take my car to Ames to have it serviced because I have always been treated fair and they do an amazing job. I literally live less than a half of a mile from the Acura dealership here in Johnston and could easily get it serviced there but I just trust you guys too much. Back on topic- I feel Austin could train other car salesman that are having a hard time selling due to how he goes above and beyond to satisfy his customers needs. The man deserves a raise. More
