Our first Honda from Swope was in 1977, it was a '78 Accord, almost certainly the first one they sold. Since then we have purchased at least a dozen Hondas there. Back then the "dealership" was in a tiny garage on Hubbards Lane. Today it is a well appointed dealership off of Hurstbourne lane. BTW: I hate Hurstbourne Lane! We come back despite the location. We keep coming back because the Swope sales and oil change staff are always friendly & fairly fast. We have had at least three cars with body damage repaired there and found the body shop to be as good as the dealership. Auto repair wise, I can't really give too much info. I know the oil change, return service folks do a great job & aren't that much higher than the "ready-lube" spots. They also have been excellent with recall work. WE AVERAGE OVER 100,000 MILES PER HONDA AND HAVE NEVER EVER HAD AN UNSCHEDULED MAINTENANCE ISSUE!! NEVER EVER!! So I can't speak very well as to the service department. We just change the oil, replace the tires, and at about 110K miles trade the car in. We've had Accords, Civics, an Element A CRX SI, & now a Fit and the repair history is still the same. I think we've bought one pair of shocks, two headlights, and that's it over these 35 years. I don't even know, other than wreck repair parts if Swope stocks virtually any parts. From my experience, on Hondas, they're not needed. The other day I went in with about 50K on the clock and had the oil changed and the tires rotated. That's all we ever do. The car was washed and the work performed. What more could I have asked? More

Everyone involved in taking our 2002 Accord to Sam Swope where the car had been purchased we were pleased with the service. Our front driver airbag was replaced with a new one. In writing up the order our where the car had been purchased we were pleased with the service. Our front driver airbag was replaced with a new one. In writing up the order our advisor advised us of needing a new timing belt and other items that would keep our car in good running order. Being retired and needing good reliable transportation means much to us. Thank you for being such a good service unit. More
The sales experience was very good, Tom Walker was very friendly and not pushy at all. I can't say the same thing about the service experience. After 6 months I start having steering problems with my 20 friendly and not pushy at all. I can't say the same thing about the service experience. After 6 months I start having steering problems with my 2011 Accord and I took it in for a check. After 5 visits over 2 months I still have the same issue and the service manager is trying to convince me that my Accord's steering wheel shaking is "normal" for a 4 cylinder car!? That's just plain wrong. For this reason I would not recommend this dealer. When you need a repair they fall short of the promise of taking care of customers during and AFTER the sale. More
I took my car in to have a tire repaired because of a nail puncture. The process was thoroughly explained. The repair was completed 20 minutes earlier than promised. This was the first oil change for my new 2011 CRV and the service center was very busy when I arrived but everything went smoothly and my car was ready about 15 minutes before it was promised.That is a big p service center was very busy when I arrived but everything went smoothly and my car was ready about 15 minutes before it was promised.That is a big plus with me. Waiting area was clean with plenty of seating and large screen TV to watch while waiting as well as reading material. More
