Tony was very attentive to me needs. He made sure he understood the reason I brought my Pilot in for service and help me decide on the right level of service. Tony noticed a brake light out as soon as I pulled up. This saved me time and trouble. If it had been discovered only during my state inspection, I would have had to come back. I had come in to simply get a bulb from the parts department for a different light that was out, intending to have a local garage install it. However, it was much easier to have all my pre-inspection repairs done under Tony's coordination. He also noticed a scratched mirror, and confirmed from technicians that that was a point on the state inspection checklist. He ordered the part, told me when it would come in, and confirmed to me when it did come in. The technicians also checked my battery and a number of other points, and provided a written report of what was checked and what wasn't, with details as to whether the items, for instance, tire tread, were within acceptable limits. Tony asked how recently I had replaced the tires, and gave me an opportunity to discuss. The report noted that my brake fluid was low, but also noted that this was not filled, deliberately, because the level serves as an indicator of wear, I think--a point which I had forgotten. I was treated courteously and pleasantly throughout my visit. In general, I favor small local garages, both for social reasons and because I feel they are lower-priced than dealers. Yet the sense of a knowledgeable person overseeing my car's comprehensive care is worth paying more for. More

Tony is very easy to work with, he clearly explains everything that needs to be done and sets my expectations appropriately, he does not pressure me. He has an implacable ability to follow up and make everything that needs to be done and sets my expectations appropriately, he does not pressure me. Cars need to be maintained and I expect to have to pay a little bit more money at a dealership but the peace of mind I get by knowing that my car will have all the right factory parts installed correctly is worth it. In the long run I feel like Tony is looking out for me and I might even save money because everything is done right the first time. More
We all know that dealers charge more for service, but that is somewhat of an offset due to the waiting area, a loner car, or not working with someone covered in grease. But the thing that I take issue with is outright dishonesty. During a recent visit for a simple oil change I received the customary and complimentary vehicle safety check. The service advisor came to tell me that the rear brakes needed new pads and the rotors resurfaced. Since my cost for brand new roters is about $25 more for each vs. resurfacing, I did the work myself. I noticed right away that they had either turned the brake "squealers" out, thus rendering them useless. Or, possibly they left them that way. Either way, they were setting me up for ruined roters, requiring replacement rather than resurfacing. For them to do the work would have brought the estimate from $300 to over $500. I got a better brake kit for $126 and did the work myself in a couple of hours. More

Tony was very friendly and made me feel at ease, given that I have no idea about anything having to do with my car!
