The last week of June I took my Honda Odyssey to Herb Chambers of Westborough to have the rear passenger sliding door fixed. I had the driver passenger door fixed during April vacation. I’ve had the van for 8 years so these things are going to wear out. This is expected. What is unexpected is that Herb Chambers Honda of Westborough scratched and dented my car with what I assume was the lift that was used during the repair. They didn’t tell me about the damage and I saw it and brought it to their attention. We left the car with them (6/26/2021) for two weeks while we were on vacation. We returned on Monday (7/12/2021), I called and they hadn’t fixed it. They told me that they would have it ready for Friday (7/16/2021), they explained “the dent guy” came on Fridays. Well, “the dent guy” didn’t fix it. They buffed the panel(??) and seemed to think I should be appeased, but they fixed nothing. I’ve included pictures. Would you be satisfied? They offered $200 off a future service. The sliding door repair was $1300+. Note: I had two of these repairs since April and both sway bars replaced. I’ve spent close to $4000 in repairs since April 2021. For both services, I had to bring the car back as it wasn’t properly repaired. I am a reasonable person, I understand mistakes are made, Covid happened, maybe they have new staff? But now, after they have damaged my car and have not fixed it, I am not comfortable taking my car back to Herb Chambers Honda of Westborough for any service so the $200 future service credit is worthless to me. I still expect to be made whole on the damage Herb Chambers of Westborough did to my car. I’m planning to contact my insurance company and whoever else I need to. I am concerned there is a larger problem at this service department due to the fact that when I brought my car for service in April to get the driver side passenger sliding door fixed and a noise in the front end fixed, I had to bring it back immediately because the front in noise was not fixed. On the first try they fixed the passenger sway bar, but on the drive home, there was still a disturbing noise. I had to turn around and take the car back and turns out it needed the driver side sway bar. It seems to me that a simple road test after the initial repair would have found this issue and then they could have called me and told me of the additional repair. Instead, I had to take the car in for an additional day. This is not germane to the problem at hand. I simply raise this issue here to point out why I’ve lost faith in Herb Chambers of Westborough’s service department. Not only have I not received the service I expect, but they’ve also damaged my Honda Odyssey. In conclusion, Herb Chambers of Westborough scratched and dented my car. I’ve spoken with Jody and Matt, waited three weeks while they had the car in their possession. They have not fixed the damage, or really even attempted to provide an acceptable remedy. More
We visited the dealership on a Monday evening & met with David Wyman. We were looking for a nice used SUV and David showed us the 2 we were interested in. Been a customer of this dealership for 15 years now through two vehicles and the service is always top notch. Recently my wife’s 2011 Pilot needed some work and a part was on backorder and it may have through two vehicles and the service is always top notch. Recently my wife’s 2011 Pilot needed some work and a part was on backorder and it may have interfered with our vacation plans but Randy was able to procure the part for us and have it installed in time for us to take it. He also always explains in detail any and all recommended maintenance with the benefits and potential pitfalls that may happen if it is not done and I never feel like I am being sold unnecessary items.
