They are amazing at Herb Chambers Honda of Westborough!I have bought 3 cars from this dealer (1 new and 2 used) and all I can tell you is you have to experience it for yourself. The staff is proffessional and knowlegable, the customer service is first rate and they really know how to make the whole process fun. I cant say enough good things about them. My salesman Rick took the time to go over every aspect of the car, I had no questions when I left. I will continue to buy and service my cars with Herb Chambers. More
Ugh, what a disappointment. I stopped in to research/test drive/hopefully start to get an idea about potential '09 CR-V inventory. I arrived at approximately 5:15PM on a Saturday (the sales fl research/test drive/hopefully start to get an idea about potential '09 CR-V inventory. I arrived at approximately 5:15PM on a Saturday (the sales floor closes at 9PM) - walked in just behind a couple who were immediately matched with a salesperson. When the receptionist paged for a second salesperson to assist me, no one initially came to the front. A salesperson walked nearby and the receptionist called out to him, saying, "David, do you have a moment to help this guest?" - he obliged. Without doing a full blow-by-blow, suffice it to say that I was made to feel oddly unwelcome at points, given this salesman's impending party plans after work. Once we did a quick walk around the car and started the test drive, David noted that his 50th birthday had been the week prior, and he had "sort of been hiding", and was leery of taking on a new customer at that hour, given the fact that he and his wife were hosting a big card game/party at their house a bit later that evening, and that he -had- to leave right at 6. Wow. David then launched right into a strange backpedal - he must have thought better of his rather rude comments (not exactly welcoming, considering the fact that I walked in knowing precisely which car, and even which trim level were of interest!!!) He specifically asked me to not mention that whole "card party thing" to his Manager, as he wouldn't want him to take it the wrong way, or to think that (this guy) was rushing a customer through their visit to the dealership. I attempted to break the wild awkwardness of the moment by joking that it sounded as if he hadn't invited his Manager to the card party, which he had most certainly had not! I told him that I wouldn't tell his Manager, but would just get in touch with Herb Chambers himself instead. HA! I was kidding, of course, but now in retrospect, perhaps I should! The real fun began when we were back and I had asked about specific current inventory in my preferred trim level, to see if there were any current incentives, and also to run some hypothetical #s, to get a sense for pricing. David did the typical, "Hmm, let me go talk to my Manager" song and dance and then left me at his desk for what felt like EONS (so much for him being in a big rush to leave??!) Upon his return, he handed me a worksheet full of numbers based on their 'Invoice Price', their 'Minimum Required Profit' (umm....) and then a wildly high monthly payment, even though I had noted that we would be paying a minimum of 20% down. I realize that they can't get specific without checking our credit, but these 'potential monthly payments' were very high indeed and a great way to get people to walk right out the door and down to Bernardi. He then handed me a quarter sheet of scrap paper and 'invited me' to jot down as many #s as possible while he sat there staring down the process. Has he never heard of a xerox machine? I certainly didn't appreciate the whole sense that David was somehow letting me in on privileged information, and things got even more pressure-tactic-ridden when I noted that it seemed that it would be helpful to return when he had more time and when the Business office could run #s based on our credit, so that we could then make an informed decision between one trim level and perhaps upgrading our purchase to the next trim level higher. He flatly noted that this wasn't possible unless we had designated a car as our car of choice, at which point (and only at said point) 'they' would initiate purchase paperwork. Um, WHAT?!?! As if things couldn't get more fun, at 6:10PM, when I was leaving David's desk area, he said, "Oh, did you hear that?" and retrieved a cell phone from his pocket, looked down and said, "Yup, it's my wife, making sure that I have left for home!" As if he hadn't repelled me enough by that point... I realize that my experience of feeling so unwelcome/rushed may have been entirely different with another salesperson -- but such poor behavior should absolutely be noted. David's behavior when it came time to crunch some #s, which was unrelated to his schedule and more indicative of his slimy approach in general, was utterly unappealing and a throwback to times that I had hoped were long GONE. See you later, Herb Chambers... More
I really felt very uncomfortable with this dealership. The amount of pressure that they put on you is unbelievable. They try so hard to get you to make a decision that very moment. My husband and I coul The amount of pressure that they put on you is unbelievable. They try so hard to get you to make a decision that very moment. My husband and I could not get through to them that this was our very first day car shopping and that no matter what they did, that we weren't going to be buying a car that day. They just didn't understand that someone would have to think about the decision to purchase such a large item overnight and discuss it with their spouse. Also, they kept trying to bargin with my husband and ignored me when they knew the car was for me and my husband kept telling me that he wasn't the final decision maker, I was. I would be very hesitant to go back here again. I left feeling very uncomfortable and couldn't wait to get out of there. I purchased my Honda elsewhere where I was treated with respect. More
Thanks for a great experience with Herb Chambers Honda of Westboro. My husband and I recently traded in our Honda lease and purchased a new car. We greatly appreciated the time and effort our salesman put Westboro. My husband and I recently traded in our Honda lease and purchased a new car. We greatly appreciated the time and effort our salesman put into making us comfortable in making our new purchase. He was also assisted by another salesman who was also excellent in helping us to make the right choice in a new car purchase. Thanks again for working with us and for making the purchasing process a pleasureable experience. We would recommend the friendly sales team at Herb Chambers HOnda of Westboro to anyone. Just a really bad experience overall when I went to get some service done on my Honda: - Misquotes to customers in terms for wait time - Called ahead, asked for an appointment. They said come right some service done on my Honda: - Misquotes to customers in terms for wait time - Called ahead, asked for an appointment. They said come right in and we will take you right away. Went all the way down there and told me the wait time is 3 hours. - Went for a wheel alignment and continued to have problems. They don't mind putting you back on the road after bad or no work. I would defintely not recommend going here, unless you want to be misled and then have sub-standard work done on your car. More
Anthony was extremely courtious and helpful. He took the time to answer our questions and point all the features and benefits of the vehicles we looked at. He joined us for a test drive where he made sure w time to answer our questions and point all the features and benefits of the vehicles we looked at. He joined us for a test drive where he made sure we had a cross section of roads to give us a well rounded feel for the car. Although we opted to purchase another brand of vehicle that was offered at this dealership I can vouch that my experience was a no pressure and pleasent experience. Should I decide to buy a Honda in the furture I would revisit this dealership. More
I bought a 2005 Mercury Mountaineer from Anthony ( Herb Chambers Honda of Westborough) on Oct 15th 2008 for my daughter. On January 24th my daughter informed me that the car was missing badly. A local mech Chambers Honda of Westborough) on Oct 15th 2008 for my daughter. On January 24th my daughter informed me that the car was missing badly. A local mechanic confirmed that one cylinder had no compression. I called Anthony to see if the drive train was still under manufacturer's warranty. It turns out 2005's have only 3 year drive train warranties although newer cars have five year warranties. However, even though Herb Chambers had no legal obligation to me they felt that they should fix the car under the circumstances. Anthony simply consulted with his management and the valve train was disassembled (Head removal etc.) and the valve spring, lifter and rocker were replaced. I encountered no resistance to this expensive repair. More than I imagined! Very Happy and will buy my next car at this dealership (assuming the price is right). They stood behind their product when they did not legally have to. Dick Callahan More

JOSH & BETH were amazing honest, professional, and knowledgeable. No high-pressure tactics with picking a car or deciding to buy it. Very courteous. JOSH & BETH were amazing to deal with front start to finish of the purchase...I would highly recommend seeking them out personally. They truly made the experience smooth. They discussed the xxxxxxand con's and answered all questions to my satisfaction. Best price in the area and worked with me from start to finish. Their customer service attitude was definitely evident. Thanks again!!! Additionally, have dealt with the service dept and Mike was awesome. He was very informative, kept me informed, gave updates on wait time, etc. I plan to make appt's with him directly in the future. Great guy! More
My recent experience at Herb Chambers Honda of Westboro was nothing less than delightful. I purchased a 2009 Honda CR-V, and the entire experience, from the time I walked through the door to the time I dr was nothing less than delightful. I purchased a 2009 Honda CR-V, and the entire experience, from the time I walked through the door to the time I drove away in my new vehicle, was fantastic. The staff I interacted with, particularly Beth Sielawa and Josh Mono, went above and beyond. They were professional, courteous, respectful, understanding, and down-to-earth. They both gave me their complete attention and I felt as though they really appreciated me, their customer. Since I am the most indecisive person in the world, I have trouble making decisions. Beth was infinitely patient with me, and was very accommodating while I made up my mind (I eventually went with the silver CR-V with black leather!). I did not have the typical stressful car buying experience at all, and Beth and Josh both definitely broke the "car sales-person" stereotype. The customer service was excellent, and the price was excellent as well. I love my CR-V and I am very thankful that I went to this dealership – the entire experience went above and beyond my expectations. I would highly recommend this dealership, and I specifically recommend Josh and Beth to everyone who is looking for a Honda vehicle. More
I have a 2008 Honda Civic. I always went to Bernardi before since it is closer to my house. My car has the Bernardi's service due sticker with the service due over 2 months prior but since I didn't driv before since it is closer to my house. My car has the Bernardi's service due sticker with the service due over 2 months prior but since I didn't drive as much so I didn't bring my car earlier. This time I decided to go to Herb Chambers in Westborough since I found a printable coupon online. When I went to Chambers, I was told that I didn't need to change my oil. I mentioned to the man that my car service was actually due over 2 months prior, why not change the oil? I was told that the new Honda has a computer reminder and it doesn't go by the mileage/date anymore. This was the first time I learned that I didn't need to spend money unnecessarily. While by now, Bernardi had called me twice to remind me to change the oil. Sure, that made me feel so special being reminded to take care of my car but if I don't have to spend my money for something unnecessary if I don't have to. I was so impressed with the Chambers because they were so honest. I have never gone to any car dealer/service that turn me down from getting money out of me. Who would? Business is business, it's all about money. But Chambers surely has honest workers. - I don't remember the name of the employees there but he is an African man, the other one is a Caucasian man who was on the desk. They both were very friendly. - The people at the Bernardi Honda too were so friendly but the only thing that discouraging me to bring my car there because there was a mechanic who gave me a free car wash but begged for my phone number. He didn't want to close my car door until I gave my phone number. Eventually I gave out my phone number so he let me go. He did call me once but I never returned.(I didn't want to give wrong number because I thought I was going to return for service). I was friendly to him because he took care of my car but I wasn't interested in dating the man. Professionalism is important. If not, you lose a customer(s). With the Herb Chambers, for every service you can free car wash and the guy won't ask for your phone number to get to know you only because he washes your car. Thanks Herb Chambers, I will go back to your shop again from now on for every single thing that my car need. More
