Was told that 99.00 diagnostic fee would be used to off set cost of repair if I had work done there, this was not the case. However that is not the main reason for the bad review. Since I was there I decided to get oil change which was due. After returning home noticed oil spot on driveway and check under car saw oil dripping from drain plug. I returned to Honda Universe the next day and was informed that the center who did my last oil changed had stripped my pan. I questioned service manager about this since car wasn't leaking before they did change, after some back and for the they agreed to repair pan free of charge by putting new thread insert in. two hours later got car back plug was now in crooked and still leaks. More back and forth and they redid repair, no leak. 3000 miles later I returned for next oil change, only because they were last to touch it. Now they tell me pan is completely stripped and needs to be replace but as a courtesy to me they will split the 900+ bill with me needless to say I was not happy with this resolution. After some heated words they agreed to replace pan free of charge. I will never return to this dealership. More

Extremely accommodating I recently ran into a situation that was ultimately resolved by John McGraw, the Customer Service Manager at Honda Universe. Due to a personal health I recently ran into a situation that was ultimately resolved by John McGraw, the Customer Service Manager at Honda Universe. Due to a personal health problem, I am no longer able to drive and needed to turn in my leased Honda. I asked the lease company if they could arrange to have someone pick up the car from my home. They told me they could not. So I then called Honda Universe and explained my situation to John. In spite of never having met him and not having leased the car through his dealership (I lived elsewhere at the time), John couldn't have been more accommodating. He and another employee drove to my house, brought the paperwork that needed to be signed, and drove the car back to his dealership. Based on that experience, I would highly recommend Honda Universe to anyone who is considering leasing or buying a Honda. More

Serviced within 2 hrs I was away and after only a little over a year, had a dead battery in my Honda Fit. Had it towed to Honda Universe on a Saturday, but it couldnt be lo I was away and after only a little over a year, had a dead battery in my Honda Fit. Would NEVER go here any suggestion they are customer friendly or value people is a lie. Will never go again and would suggest they realize how yelp reviews them as a 0 star dealer in nj. I hope prospective purchasers avoid Honda universe and shop at the other available dealerships where customer service is valued More

OH we stopped taking recalls? I called Honda Universe about the recalls on my 08' Honda Civic Coupe. The receptionist told me I could bring my car in to the service center anytime I called Honda Universe about the recalls on my 08' Honda Civic Coupe. The receptionist told me I could bring my car in to the service center anytime. When i arrived there i asked for the service manager and told him about my paint problems and stated that i had received recalls for the paint, engine block and visor. He replied with ...Yeaah we stopped doing the recalls but if u wanna pay for a paint job we know a place that can give you a "Great Deal." I thought he must have been joking... but no he was dead serious. So how does a service center tell me they don't honor recalls but if u want to pay for it we will. Hey Honda your PAINT IS TRASH AND SO IS YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE . PLEASE CORRECT YOUR PROBLEMS STOP EMPLOYING CROOKED 2BIT SALESMEN. I AM FLAT OUT INSULTED BY MY EXPERIENCE WITH YOUR DEALERSHIP.
