Buyer be ALERT Willett Honda South I purchased a Certified Used vehicle from this dealership 11/19/2015. I bought a 2010 Buick Lacrosse and with in 4 days of use Willett Honda South I purchased a Certified Used vehicle from this dealership 11/19/2015. I bought a 2010 Buick Lacrosse and with in 4 days of use of my vehicle my check engine light comes on. I take the vehicle in to Willett Honda service to have it check. The mechanic advice me they do not have the equipment to service the vehicle I thought that was strange or maybe it was a new policy .The mechanic advise me I would have to take it to a Buick dealership for service. I said ok. The Buick dealership stated the car was miss firing and had a water pump leak. The Buick dealership charged me $120. For the diagnostic. I sent the diagnostic to my salesman and there was no response for 2 days. I called My salesman to see if this car that I just purchased was a Lemon was there any known issues with this vehicle .When I asked the question the salesman stated “well you signed the paperwork stating this was not a Lemon” I replied I am also not a mechanic I assume the Vehicle would have been inspected before I purchased. He stated then the water pump issues were wear and tear and not cover by them. I stated I have not had the car long enough for me to have major issues like this. I asked “Was the car properly inspected?” Since I did not get a complete answer I asked “Since I only had the vehicle for 8 days was the vehicle test driven a lot. He replied “no” I asked was the error codes cleared on the vehicle and resold to me. No answer from the salesman. I paid a lot of money to purchase a certified used vehicle from Willett Honda and in return I get condescending answers and a vehicle with the Check engine light on .This will cost me more money to fix. I am in the same situation I started from a vehicle with the check engine light running ruff. I expect this behavior from a buy here pay here lot but I did not expect it from Willett Honda. I have wasted a lot of time trying to find answers From Willet Honda and I am stuck with vehicle that’s not working properly. I would have liked for willett Honda to be upfront to tell me that this vehicle will miss fire and has a water pump leak then that would have helped me to determine if I wanted to purchase the vehicle. I never would have purchased a vehicle with a check engine light on. Moving Forward I would suggest you bring your own mechanic with you if buying from Willett Honda I will not be buying from here again. I like dealing with honest professional business I guess all I have to look forward to is a New Tag coming in the mail. I will put it on my brand new sitting vehicle .......... Not a dealer I would recommend. On 9/14, I found a 2013 Chevy Malibu online at Willett. I requested more info online and, within 10 minutes, received a call. The sales person was very nice and personable and the price was right. I made arrangements to arrive later that afternoon and buy the car. Financing arrangements had already been made and I had everything in hand. I advised the sales person, the same one I spoke to, that I have financing handled and that I did not want any additional warranties or gap coverage. It should have been a slam dunk! After test driving the car (more on this below) and agreeing to go ahead with the sale, I assumed it may be an hour, maybe 2 to get the paperwork done and I would be on my way. Nope! After almost 3 hours, I asked what the hold up was and I was advised that they were still waiting on final paperwork from the bank. I promptly called the bank and was advised that the needed documents were sent over almost an hour and a half prior! When I then tried to track down the sales person or one of the 2 financing people that I had spoken with, no one could be found. It was almost another hour before they finally came back with my offer....from a completely different bank then the one I requested. On top of that, an extended warranty and gap coverage was also added. I asked why my original request wasn't honored and all I was told was they "got me a better rate". While that fact was true, a slightly better rate, it was not what I asked for. I then got the hard sell on the warranty and gap which I continued to decline. At this point, I just wanted the car and hung on for what seemed like another hour before I finally got everything signed and left.....about 10 minutes for they closed for the night. I later found that they ran my credit through a number of other banks, which was not needed. To date, I have letters from 6 other banks, none of which were the one I already obtained approval from. I see this as an unneeded step. Earlier in the experience, when test driving the car, I felt a wobble coming from the front end. When I finally took delivery, they advised me that all 4 wheels had been balanced. But, if the wobble persists, to call Service and set up an appointment. I gave it about a week and the wobble just got worse, especially when driving at 70 or above. So I called the service department and again, they could not have been nicer. They said they would take care of the issue and gave me an appointment for later that same day. I took time off of work to drive back there (FYI I work about 30 miles away and live about 45 miles away, not a quick jaunt). I arrived a few minutes early and was greeted by a service agent who was very nice and helpful. He took my keys and asked that I take a seat. After about 30 minutes he called me back in. My car was right where I left it. He advised me that there were "notes in the system" that 2 of my tires had "excessive flex" in the sidewalls and that one of the wheels was not completely round. Really!!!!! Then why was I allowed to take the car? He advised me that almost anything can be balanced out, but both factors together were making for an uncomfortable ride. Not only did I have to make the drive for them to tell me something they were already aware of, I now had to make the drive again at a later date to get it properly fixed! The service agent apologized and stated that 2 new tires and a wheel were ordered and all work would be done without charge. While I appreciate that, it is just negative upon negative experience here. I want to say that most of the staff were great and helpful, but the few bad employees and 2 completely avoidable situations later, I am not intending on buying from Willett any time soon and I only plan to visit to get these repairs completed. I brought the car back in on Monday 9/28. I had taken more time off of work to get this done. I was advised they would replace the bent wheel and the 2 tires and I requested they check the balance on the other 2 wheels and check all suspension components for damage. My thinking being that is someone hit something hard enough to bend a wheel, it is reasonable to think that there might be other components damaged. Again, as with all other encounters with the staff, the Service Rep was nice and helpful. I was there about 2 and a half hours. Not unreasonable with what I had asked to be done. I happened to be outside when the mechanic was coming back with my car after test driving it. I was pleasant and asked if the wobble was gone. He simply grunted to acknowledge my question, and walked back to the service reception area to give the keys and paperwork to the service rep. I was then given everything, was told everything was checked and I was now clear. No charge for any of the repairs. Happy to be done, I left. I was hardly out of the parking lot when I noticed the wobble, again! It was not as pronounced at lower speeds as it was previously, but it was there. I had already been away from work for almost 3 hours so I had to keep going. Once I hit interstate speeds, the car just shakes like it did previously. I figured I would give it some time to see if maybe the wobble would balance out. That, and I honestly don't have the time to continue to go back to the dealership, taking time away from work and family. Upon returning home, it also appeared that only 1 tire had been replaced as it is now a different brand from the other 3. I am not picky about the tires matching, but it makes me wonder what else was passed over or not done. That, and it should not take 2 and a half hours to switch a single wheel and tire if that is, in fact, the only thing that was done. At this point, I am thinking another wheel is bent or maybe something worse, a bent axle or other component. I called asking to speak with Shae, the General Manager, as advised and had to leave a message. I wound up hearing back from Dustin, the Used Car Manager. He was very easy to talk to about my situation. He apologized for the issues I have had, but promised to do whatever is necessary to get the car properly fixed. He went info detail on what repairs they did do to the car prior to placing it for sale and assured me that, if they had thought that anything else had to be done, it would have been done. Unfortunately, with used cars, issues don't present themselves until after the car is purchased. I will have to bring the car in again for a proper assessment but anything that can be fixed will be fixed. I felt a bit better after the conversation with Dustin. Hoping we can get to the bottom of this without any additional trips back. I had brought my car in for a third time on Monday 10/12. I cleared out my morning and got there right after they opened. I was advised in advance that Dustin, the Used Car Manager, would not be there but he gave me another gentleman to speak to. He had advised that I should ask for Earl and that I should ride with him to show what my issue was. The service rep I spoke to was, as always, nice and helpful. I advised on my situation and asked for Earl as I was instructed. The service rep walked back to the garage and returned stating that Earl was indisposed at the moment, but he is aware I am there. They took my keys and asked if I would be hanging around. I advised (which I think I shouldn't have, more below) that I was expected at work at 1pm and would be waiting. While waiting, I did notice that on 2 occasions, my car was driven off of the lot then right back again. Not hearing anything from the rep after a few hours and still not having driven with anyone, around 11:30 I inquired as to what the progress was. The rep stated he was not aware of any news, but would find out. After about 10 to 15 minutes he came back and stated they were still evaluating everything and really didn't have any other info. At 12:30, with 30 minutes to get to work, my car was rushed out of the garage and the rep called my name. I was advised that they could not replicate my issue and I was being sent on my way. I asked why I had not been asked to drive with anyone as I was told I would be. He stated he could ask his manager but he was aware I was due at work. Needles to say, I was not happy but at this point but thought that maybe it was just me. I took the keys and went to work, noticing the wobble all the way in to the office but still thinking that I may just be looking for it. I tried to ignore it, but kept noticing the wobble at highway speeds over the next week to 2 weeks. My suspicion was validated on 2 separate occasions with 2 separate passengers made comments on the wobble seeming to come from the front passenger side wheel. Not really willing to take the car back to Willett, I made arrangements to have my car evaluated at a local Chevy dealership on Friday 10/30. I arrived first thing in the morning and they immediately had me ride with a shop supervisor to help xxxxx the issues I've been having. Within 20 feet after pulling out of the garage he stated that he felt a slight wobble. Once we got out on the street the wobble, of course, just got worse. I was wondering why after multiple test drives at Willett by numerous people, they stated they could not find an issue but this guy felt it just going 20 feet! They kept the car for the day going over everything and road force balancing the wheels. Luckily, nothing major was wrong. All of the suspension components were perfectly fine, which was a major concern of mine. It seems that the tires were to blame being of such bad quality that the ride was suffering. Chevy gave me a full write up and print outs of their diagnostics and I again reached out to Dustin at Willett via email, scanning in all documentation. Within a few hours, I received a call from Earl and arrangements were made to drop the car off and to provide a loaner so I would not have to wait around. From there on, everything went off without a hitch. I dropped the car off and they got me out in enough time to get to work on time. I received a call the next day from Rob telling me that the car was done. All 4 tires were replaced with a MUCH higher quality set. I am very happy to say that the car does not wobble any more. I appreciate their willingness to correct everything, I just hate that it took so long and I had to involve another dealership before things were set right. On the positive side, Marteen in sales and everyone in the service area, including management (Dustin, Earl, and Rob), were easy to deal with and always nice and professional. But all of the issues have made this an overall negative experience. More

What is that? You can not share my information with me. I asked them because I didn't want to waste time and money both by going here and there. They don't even answer my call. I tried to call Shea Baily four to five time but haven't heard from him. I hoped to get good service. Hope it doesn't happen to anyone. More

We reac We just bought a CR-V from Willett, with Rodney Christian as our salesperson. We could not have been more pleased with the whole experience! We reached out to Rodney online and he was very helpful. He replied to our emails quickly and answered our questions professionally. We were driving about 100 miles to use this dealership as the price was by far the best in the area. Rodney assured us that there would be nothing misrepresented once we got there - the price would not change, there would be no last minute add ons to increase the price, etc. We'd been through that before at another dealership, so we were wary. Sure enough - once we drove up, everything was in order and the car was fantastic! Rodney had the experience to handle the financing as quickly as possible. He was smart, funny and respectful of our time and of the process. We love this car and we really appreciate and recommend this dealership and Mr. Rodney Christian. More

Joel Pinnell - Extremely Unprofessional WOW! This dealership needs a lesson in how to treat customers! Unfortunately, my request for a break down of the total costs associated with the s WOW! This dealership needs a lesson in how to treat customers! Unfortunately, my request for a break down of the total costs associated with the sale of brand new vehicle not only went unanswered but was met with a large degree of obfuscation and attitude. From the receptionist to the manager their staff demonstrated a lack of understanding, an astounding inability to pronounce consonants, and an incapacity to communicate clearly and articulately or even understand what is being ask of them. Instead, they seemed very condescending, quick to anger and more than eager to rudely and inappropriately put the customer "In-Their-Place". The lack of professionalism I experienced from salesman "Joel Pinnell" began with him impersonating a sales manager, continued with his bizarre and rude argumentative behavior, which evolved into him incessantly shouting over and eventually hanging-up on me repeatedly. Sadly, according to "Yelp" and many other reputable customer review websites, this behavior is common practice and is emblematic of this dealership's systemic lack of respect for their customers. When I contacted the actual Sales Manager "Patrick Denis" and attempted to explain my experience his attitude was one of dismissiveness. Not only was this manager tone deaf he plainly just didn't care after it was obvious I'd be taking my business elsewhere. Clearly, the employees at this dealership do not understand who makes their jobs possible. Steer Clear of this Dealership!!! More

They have test driv I have never had an interaction with a car dealership like I had at Willet Honda. The set up of the dealer's staff is off putting. They have test drivers who collect info and literally take you on a test drive, which is actually ok. The person I test drove with was great. The problems started as I waited for someone to talk with me about actually purchasing the car. There are no offices so you're talking about numbers, credit, and private info in a communal area for everyone to hear. As I waited, my test driver collected more info, and the person actually selling the car kept telling me he would speak with me soon but it took a very long time. As I waited, I witnessed a sales manager yell at an employee, loudly and I could see that she (the employee), became visibly upset. More time passed and I watched as the manager working on my car spoke very condescendingly to a couple about some matter dealing with insurance. Finally, the same sales manager presented me with a work up of how much the car I was interested in would cost. I was given a sheet of numbers. No explanation was given about what I was looking at. As I was trying to figure out what money I needed to pay, I was spoken to in a condescending manner, as if I was being done a favor for the sloppy, rude, and unsatisfactory service I had encountered. As I left I wasn't given a handshake, a come back soon, or a thanks for coming. I left with the sales manager giving me the same condescending attitude he had from the time we met. The same rude impolite attitude that seems to define the sales managers at Willet Honda. More

So we drove a little extra to get there and were pleasantly surprised by the non-pushy attitude of Rodney, our salesperson. He was helpful and answered our questions, but he wasn't aggressive and didn't hover over us while we discussed the option between a Toyota Sienna and the Honda Odyssey. He brought the vehicle around on three separate occasions for us and even left us in the car by ourselves for nearly 30 minutes, while we talked it over. Overall, our experience was very good and we highly recommend this dealer. More
