Cash purchase after seeing Fit online and agreeing to the price. Made appointment to stop in and pick up the car. Overall wait was just under FOUR HOURS!!! Sales team was disorganized, internet department wa price. Made appointment to stop in and pick up the car. Overall wait was just under FOUR HOURS!!! Sales team was disorganized, internet department was disorganized, and finance department made me feel like garbage for not buying an extended service contract!! Would NEVER recommend this dealership after the runaround I received. Left sitting for over an hour at a time with no explanation as to why we had to wait so long!! I guess cash sales are last on the list. Second car I have bought at this dealership and it will be the last!! More
I went to Sunnyside Honda at Middleburg Heights with an intention to purchased a used 2010 Honda CR-V and trade-in my 2005 Mazda SP23. I booked appointment for Saturday and they called me at least 5 times intention to purchased a used 2010 Honda CR-V and trade-in my 2005 Mazda SP23. I booked appointment for Saturday and they called me at least 5 times throughout the week to remind me (very irritating) to meet John from internet sales team. I was excited with the way they called me 5 times before I actually go there with the hope that they won't be too aggressive in sales but I was completely wrong. Do not trust them and their website when they say that their staff is not aggressive, their staff seems to be a commission based aggressive staff especially Marla with whom I had a very bad experience. The first question she asked me was "Are you going to purchase a car today?". I said "May be, my intentions are to purchase the car if I like one and if it comes under my budget?", the next question she asked me was "Are you are U.S Citizen or Green Card Holder?". I am a temporary resident on work permit so I told her that. As soon as she realized that I am not a U.S Citizen or GC her tone changed and she made a silly assumption that I may not be capable of getting a loan from Honda (what a crap?). I told her that I already have a loan from Toyota and I don't think there should be any trouble in getting a low APR loan because I have excellent credit history currently. Later she started taunting me that "Today is Saturday and we have no time...", she repeated this at least 3 times. I got upset and told her "Not to keep repeating that and treat me as any other customer by showing me some good choices, instead of repeating the Saturday slogan, she could save that time in talking more positively..right?". Honestly I wanted to purchase the car that day to gift it to my wife on her birthday but she was so aggressive that she just showed me ONE car, that's it and that too was not good. I got very disappointed, when I came back from the test drive she was already with another customer (ideally the sales representative is supposed to be with you for the test drive, right? But she let me test drive alone and got into another customer). When I came back from test-drive she was with another customer and she signaled me to wait (standing, no chairs). I waited for almost 10 minutes and she didn't even look at me and then the other guy named John came so see what's happening. He asked me to sit there and asked me if I am purchasing this car or not (forcing again). Later I decided to walk-away as they were asking for huge money (compared to KBB CPO rates) for that crappy car and when I started to walk John told me "We don't want to sell the car to you?", that was truly racist apart from huge racist behavior from Marla. I REQUEST EVERYONE READING THIS COMMENT TO BE CAREFUL BEFORE YOU DECIDE TO VISIT SUNNYSIDE HONDA OF MIDDLEBURG HEIGHTS, ESPECIALLY THEIR INTERNET SALES DEPARTMENT, IF YOU ARE AN INDIAN/ASIAN OR NON-AMERICAN, YOU MAY HAVE A BAD EXPERIENCE LIKE ME, THEIR TEAM IS VERY AGGRESSIVE, YOU WILL FEEL THAT STRESS WHEN THEY START TO FORCE YOU TO PURCHASE THE CAR WITHOUT SHOWING AND SPENDING TIME IN SHOWING SOME GOOD CARS. I AM SURE THERE ARE OTHER BETTER DEALERS. ALL THE BEST. More
Brought my 2007 Honda Odyssey to Sunnyside Honda for service on Wednesday, March 6th, 2013. The vehicle was in the Service Garage. A valet parking attendant got inside & started backing up. As he was ne service on Wednesday, March 6th, 2013. The vehicle was in the Service Garage. A valet parking attendant got inside & started backing up. As he was nearing the overhead garage door in the back, the latter started going down rapidly. My Service Adviser, Ralph Harding, screamed: "Go forward!!! Go forward!!!" The valet parking attendant switched the gear & took the vehicle forward barely avoiding the overhead garage door by a foot. Then, he took my vehicle to the Service Area. About 10 minutes later, my Service Adviser, Ralph Harding, came to me with a prior damage sheet with several tick marks on it. "Ok," he said, "here we have some minor scratches & here - a very minor dent on the Front Bumper." "How minor," asked I. "Oh, very minor," the Service Adviser responded. About 2 (two) hours later, the vehicle was ready. I paid them for service & walked out of the Service Garage. My vehicle was parked next to it. I looked at the Front Bumper & discovered a HUGE dent on the right-hand side thereof. I got back to the Service Adviser & pointed out the damage caused to my vehicle during service. The Service Adviser denied everything. Said the damage was there when I brought the vehicle to them. Immediately, I called both GEICO & the police. A Middleburg Heights police officer arrived & examined the vehicle. Since Sunnyside Honda did not have any security cameras inside & the ones outside, according to him, were all fake there was no way of proving what happened & whose fault it was. An Assistant Service Manager came to me with a very old prior damage sheet from the year 2012 & showed me a tick mark on it saying there was a dent on my front bumper about a year ago, which was a lie. GEICO took detailed pictures of my vehicle 2 (two) weeks prior to this incident & their picture PROVE that there was NO dent on my Front Bumper whatsoever. Besides, the new tick mark was made BY A DIFFERENT HAND & with a DIFFERENT PEN. They DOCTORED it. I took my vehicle to a GEICO adjuster the following day & the damage was repaired. I ended up paying my $500.00 deductible. Now the GEICO Recovery Department is going after these DISHONEST people, in an attempt of recover compensation for the damage they caused. FROM NOW ON, I WILL STAY AWAY FROM SUNNYSIDE HONDA!!! More
If there's a problem with anything at this dealership, you're probably talking to a "new guy". See Steve. He talks sense, can make a decision and will certainly treat a customer fairly. xxxxxxto Sunnysid you're probably talking to a "new guy". See Steve. in just 3 weeks after I bought the new CRV, the dashboard air vent on the passenger side already not working! nothing came out. Very cheaply made. Already had to make my first trip back to the dealership fo air vent on the passenger side already not working! nothing came out. Very cheaply made. Already had to make my first trip back to the dealership for checking. I made a 2:30pm appmt, When I got there, I had to wait for a while, they kept telling me they would be right with me.phone call after phone call, never came to me. then one guy walk back, and then I saw him wandering around, I was standing there seeing him, he suddenly saw me and realized I'm still waiting for someone, then walked all the way to me, if he didn't see me, he would be walking back again (out of my sight). I was told a new part need to be ordered. Fine. So, I have to go back on another trip ! Just imagine someone living 35+ miles away. Had to go to the BMV twice for new license plate! first time, bad timing, BMV was closed. 2nd time, after a long wait, only to find out the Dealer had my last and first names reversed on the title paper ! I called Sunnyside Honda for the issue, at first, she said they had all my paperwork with the wrong name, so I had to go back to the dealer for a new contract signed, etc ! when I complained about all the trouble including the gas I wasted to make all the way back to the dealer for all these, she only said, "you reviewed the paperwork with us..." oh, yeah ! How in the world would I know putting in my last name first on the title would cause me such a trouble? Besides, all paperwork had my name spelled correctly, even the Honda financial service mailed me first payment voucher with my first and last name printed correctly in the correct order, and I kept receiving letters from the general manager/sales manager from the dealer, they all have my first and last name in correct order on the letter ! everyone in the dealership kept calling me Mrs.my last name! How in the world would I know they would have my last name first on the title paper! I complained and they tried to throw the ball back to me?? When I complained I also had that non-working vent problem, I was told, "well, that's not my problem..." is that how they do business? At least saying something to comfort the customer! I was thinking my next new car would be from this dealer, since I like my saleperson. But now, I would never ever go back there again for buying new cars or service just by thinking about all the time, gas, and my energy I spent since I bought the new car! I never needed to go back to the dealer in the past when I bought a new car from another dealer! Never had such a hassle after getting a new car ! I never had to write such a review ! If I get a penalty fee for the expiration of the temp tag, I would surly write to the sales manager to complain. and NO, I WOULD NEVER GO BACK TO SUNNYSIDE ! I told my family members to buy their new cars from sunnyside, Now, I changed my mind. They don't come greet or serve you right away anyway ! I had wait for a long time and eventually had to ask the receptionist for help the day I got there! No one care to come to you! Maybe I look too young to be able to buy a car ??? More

We have had our Hondas serviced at Sunnyside for the past 5 years because it is close to our house. We were in search of a new minivan, so I went in to have them run the numbers and see what kind of a deal 5 years because it is close to our house. We were in search of a new minivan, so I went in to have them run the numbers and see what kind of a deal I could get. We didn't need a van until December, but I was hoping to get a good deal on a 2011. I made it clear that I did not need to buy anytime soon. The saleswoman was very friendly to begin. Some of her questions and remarks were strange- and she seemed to think I was a moron. (Ex. She felt the need to remind me that the payment on a fully loaded Odyssey Touring (40K) would be higher than what I was paying on my CR-V (25K). Um... yeah, I figured that one out on my own.) She brought back a good deal but told me that I had to decide before I left or the deal was gone because they were raising the price due to high demand. I was there without my husband and had trouble reaching him at work. I tried to contact my husband, four phone calls, an email and text and couldn't reach him. I apologized and told her I couldn't buy a $40,000 vehicle without discussing it with him first. I told her I wasn't sure what I should do. This is where she really changed her tune--she had put about 1.5 hrs into working with me and was pissed to think she wouldn't get the sale. She responded by telling me " I know what I would do, I wouldn't pass up this deal." I asked if there were anyway that I could have 24 hours so I could decide with my spouse. She returned from talking to the manager about it and told me I could have an hour IF I gave them a deposit by credit card. Really?! . I apologized, again, and she told me " You don't need to apologize to me, you need to apologize to yourself for missing out on this great deal." Okay, this one set me over the edge and I should have walked out. My husband called, we discussed, more than anything how ridiculous the pressure was and I was fuming mad. I told her that they obviously didn't want my business and I couldn't believe how poorly I was being treated. I asked for the managers email address so I could put in writing how upset I was with how I was treated and how ridiculous it was that I was pressured to purchase a car without my spouse. He came out to speak with me and claimed it was business and he'd be happy to give me until the next morning to decide and still get the offered price. It was a good deal, but we passed on it because of how they conducted business. We will not ever return to that lot. Not for a new car purchase OR for service. They have lost our business permanently. More
Ok, I had my 2006 Honda Civic was throwing a CEL code P2185, P2183, P0111. I searched on line and found it was a common problem. Honda even issued a TSB for it, I take it to the dealer and tell them what P2185, P2183, P0111. I searched on line and found it was a common problem. Honda even issued a TSB for it, I take it to the dealer and tell them what is wrong and what I wanted replaced the ECT 2 on bottom of the radiator, I even pulled the plug and looked at it before taking it in and knew a pin corroded and broke causing the problem. Before they performed the work they told me they would have to charged me 109 to dignosis it when I told them what was wrong. He eventually said he would work with me on it if it turned out to be what I said. Turned out the problem was exactly as I described. When I went to pay there was still the 109 charge and I said you said you would work with me. He said that I built the discount into the price I charged you. I doubt it very shaddy in my opinion. He said I was luckiy they didnt have to replace whole harness back to the fire wall and charge 1500 for it. When I got home I look at the plug and it wasn't corroded but they chopped it off anyway. They told me the $347 fix was a temp fix and that it wasn't guarnteed. I will not be taking my 2 Honda's for service there ever again. Beware of this service department. Almost $350 to replace a $37 sensor in my opinion is a rip off. More
