Popular wisdom holds that dealerships are "ripoffs" for service but that has not been my experience at Honda North. They have programs such as the 'free oil change' from time to time that keep me coming back. More

We had made an appointment for 9 amand were told it would take about an hour and a half. It wasn't ready until after 4 pm. We spoke to the service person several times during the day and each time it was i take about an hour and a half. It wasn't ready until after 4 pm. We spoke to the service person several times during the day and each time it was indicated they took the walkins first and would be getting to the appointments soon. Why make an appointment then?? Don't get me wrong - we love Honda North and have had wonderful experiences so far but please be honest as to how long something will take! It was the weekend before Christmas and like everyone else had many things to do that day including getting ready to attend an event that night - had we known it would take all day we would have been able to plan accordingly. Made a 9am appointment. Waited over 10 minutes before anyone helped me. Did not recieve a word about my car until almost 10:30. At that point I was informed it would be at least another hour for the wor anyone helped me. Did not recieve a word about my car until almost 10:30. At that point I was informed it would be at least another hour for the work to get done. Why was the problem not diagnosed within a half hour of my visit? The problem I had was a cracked dipstick. The only place I've ever had my oil changed was Homda North. How did it get cracked? I've never touched it in the 5 years I've owned the car (bought new at Honda North). At the end of the day, I had to pay 2 hours labor for them to get the dipstick out (it was stuck). They gave me the part for free, but I can't believe I sat there for almost 90 minutes to find out they needed more time (and then had to pay for that time). More
I have given these ratings because I had such a positive experience on my first service visit for my CRV that I bought in July. Kyle was very helpful, polite,and patient in answering all of my questions. I did not understand how the mileage approximator worked and I could not figure out why the numbers fluctuated so much. Kyle explained it three times to me, until I finally understood how it worked. Jeannette tried to help program my cell phone with my bluetooth so that I would not have to accept it every time I entered the vehicle. The problem turned out to be with my phone, and not the bluetooth. She carefully explained the details of the situation for me and also told me what phones worked well with the system. Honda North should be proud of the customer service provided by these two employees. More
Susan came out to my car, realized I couldn't walk well, therefore brought me right in and helped me then and there. I went and waited and when my car was done, she came in with the paperwork and the well, therefore brought me right in and helped me then and there. Your staff is exceptional and I would recommend you highly. Thank you for a great experience. More
