This was the best experience I have ever had purchasing a car. I came in just to take a look at the vehicle and test drive. The last time I bought a vehicle was 5 years ago and I did not have a good experience. I felt like I was pressured into purchasing a vehicle. The salesperson Omar, was very professional, respectful and patient with me, unlike my last experience at another dealership. Also Ron the manager was very nice, and professional! I would recommend this dealership to buy and purchase a honda!! Thank you Omar and Ron! More
Everything you've ever heard about a used car buying experience, well, throw it out the window. Just bought a car today from Honda of Marin. From the first phone call interaction with a Sales Manager by experience, well, throw it out the window. Just bought a car today from Honda of Marin. From the first phone call interaction with a Sales Manager by the name of Ron Edwards, to the young (very professional) salesman named Omar Nazar, to then the finance representative, Kevin Wood, it was all so incredibly professional and smooth and easy and honest that I almost still can't believe it happened. But it did. If buying a used car is in your future, I highly encourage you to visit them. There is something very right going on at this dealership. I am a demanding person when it comes to service because I deliver a very high level of service in my own business. So I expect the same. I was shocked to be on the receiving end of such a great effort by a really great team. And I got a super, good and fair deal. Sometimes ratings like the ones on this sight probably say more about the person doing the rating than those being rated. Not in this case. Ron, Omar, and Kevin, thank you all so much. You made my day and the entire experience a true pleasure!! Best, Don D. More
1. Highly recommend if you are a MALE shopping for a car. My husband and I (a female) emphasized many times that we are looking for a car for me, who will drive it daily and pay the bill. They ignored it, and all the mail and email I received either only had my husband's name or listed him as the primary person. 2. Lie no.1 When we first visit, we told the salesperson that we were browsing and not buying yet. He pressured us to fill out information, assuring us it wouldn't affect our credit. Later, we discovered that it was a lie, confirmed by their sales manager. (I wish the sales manager was our salesperson. At least he is honest) Before we left, he lied AGAIN. He asked me to sign a paper for making a copy of my driver's license for the test drive. It turned out to be a consent to do a credit score pull. Lie with bad skills... 3. Lie no.2 We were told that the vehicle could be remotely started via the Honda app, but after purchase, we found out this was not the case. I ignored the lies during the purchase process because the car I ended up buying fits all of my criteria. I am writing this review in the hope of helping others avoid the terrible discrimination experience and lies we encountered. More
10 stars for salesperson, lost 2 stars for hostile treatment during sales contract process. Sohil Rahiq was wonderful! He is new but has a promising career because he listens to people and explains t treatment during sales contract process. Sohil Rahiq was wonderful! He is new but has a promising career because he listens to people and explains things well . He continues to check-in on how we are adjusting to the car. BUT, the car was advertised as "Pre-Owned Honda Certified" and we found out during sales contract process that IT WAS NOT! We were assured that the car passed the 182 point inspection but the paperwork regarding the completion of the recall had not yet been received and, for that reason, they couldn't sell it as Pre-Owned Certified. When we asked to see the inspection check list, the finance person, Max, got visibly upset and kept rushing us because he had to get home for dinner. He reduced the price by $1,000 and gave us a discount on an extended warranty (but he didn't mention the $200 deductible). He gave us the checklist, but only the first and last page, which were marked "draft." When we returned to pick up the car, I asked for the other two pages and he and Jim (sales manager) gave them to me but were very hostile and demanded that I sign my name on page one of the checklist where they had written in big letters "sold not certified." It was very intimidating because my husband had already left. I have since read other reviews and there have been other complaints about Max. I think it would be a good idea to give him some training on customer relations. When people are making a big purchase, they need to be treated respectfully. More
This is not about the car. The salesperson and the sales manager who helped me on April 19th were amazing. I was able to get a decent deal on my 2023 Accord. However, the f The salesperson and the sales manager who helped me on April 19th were amazing. I was able to get a decent deal on my 2023 Accord. However, the finance part of the deal was awful. I agreed to the extended 84 month 100K mile warranty. When I got home, I read the contract, and decided it had too many negative aspects about it. Also, I wasn't informed about the $100 deductible that I have to pay every time the vehicle had to be serviced. I cancelled it on May 10th. Long story short, I called multiple times to check up on my refund and the finance manager Gavin was not helpful at all. At one point, he told me never to call him again and call my bank to deal with the refund. This was around July 17th. I received the actual refund July 27th (78 days later). General manager Jim called me around the day my lienholder received the check to let me know the process, and why it took so long receive, and why I shouldn't have purchased it if I was planning on cancelling. I cancelled it because the extended warranty contract was deceptive (didn't tell me anything about $100 deductible per service) & service contract warranty had too many exclusions when it comes to services and repairs. Lesson learned: I will never purchase an extended car warranty ever. In my view, it's a total scam only to benefit the dealer and the finance manager. I will never do business here again. Please do some due diligence and DON'T BUY YOUR CAR HERE. STAY AWAY! More
I gave it 2 stars for my dealer agent, other than that financial process was horrible. Took a long time and dishonest by a finance agent who tried to sneak in some extra charges without our notice. I aske financial process was horrible. Took a long time and dishonest by a finance agent who tried to sneak in some extra charges without our notice. I asked him to give me the break out before I signed the contract, but he kept showing me other paperworks that not much important, until I had to ask him third times for my finance cost. He tried to blame that I don’t understand the numbers and how the finance process work. He even said that he worked a long time to deal with so many customers that he knows better than me. Just a simple math I think I know how to figure out how my payment different. Finalize, my calculation was corrected and he tried to charge me another $1995 on top of what we was discussed. Please make sure you read all the details of your loan before sign it off. More

I experience at Honda Marin was amazing. All the employees were very helpful. They had a lot of inventory to choose from, and we will recommend all of our family and friends to Honda Marin. Zero Stars. Dereliction of duty in sales. Drove over an hour with cash in hand to buy new Honda I'd been waiting for. They would not even unlock the car for me t Dereliction of duty in sales. Drove over an hour with cash in hand to buy new Honda I'd been waiting for. They would not even unlock the car for me to see interior. Dealership added a $15,000 markup on top of MSRP. As soon as I questioned that, both salesperson and manager literally walked away, never returned and left me standing there. The dealership was completely empty at the time and now I know why. It was the worst dealer experience I have ever had. Marin Honda does not deserve to wear the Penske name, More
** UPDATE ** The general manager reached out and helped to troubleshoot the problem.
