310 Reviews of Honda Libertyville - Service Center
I had been a loyal customer here for about 20 years, taking my Hondas into the service shop and purchasing cars. Since they have changed ownership, the quality of service has changed dramatically. I bro taking my Hondas into the service shop and purchasing cars. Since they have changed ownership, the quality of service has changed dramatically. I brought my car in for service because of noise the car has been making. They found the problem and called to let me know what it was and the cost. No problem, I told them to go ahead with the repair. They said it would be ready by the end of day. An hour later they call and say the car needs to stay overnight. They ensure me my car would be ready when they open at 630 am. I told them if it would not be, that was fine and I would figure something else out. They again insisted it would be ready. I go to pick up my car and not only is it not ready, they lost the paperwork for the car. They finally find it. Literally right in front of them. They tell me everything is fine. Meanwhile I can see my car on the lift with no wheels. Absolutley not ready to go at 630. They hand me the paperwork, I flip it over and there are notes for additonal repairs needed. When I ask about them, no one can speak to them or why I wasn't called to see if I wanted to fix the repairs, which I would. At this point, I'm still waiting on my car and it is now 7 am. I share my concern with the service man and he basically says he doesn't know why I didn't get a call etc. Thank God Julie is still there because she is the only compotent one. She steps in and says let's find the guy who did the work. She finds him. I ask about his notes, one of which he takes back and says isn't in need of repair anymore. This was a 215 dollar repair add on. Which all of a sudden isn't needed? Then when I ask if the other repair of note needed is dangerous, he doesn't even know. What? The service man said he wanted to "make it right " but offered no solution . I legt after waiting iver half an hour for my car and it wasnt even repaired to the needs i had brought it for. How can I have confidence in a dealership service department that doesn't seem to have any organization, can not keep its word, doesn't stand by their work, and also has raised their prices by the way. This place will never revieve my business again for service or for sales. New owners get it together! Guarantee I'm not the only customer you lose. More
Pauly did a great job of diagnosing the problem with my CR-V and explaining it to me. The diagnostic fee was very reasonable and will be applied to the repair. The fee and the repair estimate were conside CR-V and explaining it to me. The diagnostic fee was very reasonable and will be applied to the repair. The fee and the repair estimate were considerably less than the independent shop I went to first. More
I went in for a routine service visit, asking for an oil change and tire rotation. When the car was ready, I noticed on the invoice that the tire rotation had not been done. I asked the service advisor why. change and tire rotation. When the car was ready, I noticed on the invoice that the tire rotation had not been done. I asked the service advisor why. His answer.. it wasn't necessary.. the tires had plenty of tread and were wearing evenly. At a time when car dealers are more dependent than ever for their service departments to pick up the slack from the lack of new and used car sales, I was extremely appreciative and impressed by the honesty in not doing unnecessary work just to generate extra income. Pauly has never let me down and their ethical standards are *****. More
