I brought the vehicle into the dealership when requested, and re-emphasized I could only leave the vehicle for the scheduled day because I was going out of town the next day on business. Not a problem I was told, it's a simple fix. Plus, since you're the first vehicle in line, you'll be the first vehicle in the shop. Around 3:45 on the scheduled pickup day, I texted my service advisor and asked if the vehicle was ready for pickup. "Yes" was the reply. When I got there, the vehicle was still sitting where I left it two days prior. "Sorry...we've been busy" was the excuse. Totally unacceptable! Plus, this is the 2nd time I've brought my vehicle in for a repair and it wasn't even looked at on the date promised. To top it off, the service advisors are extremely rude. Im going to do my part to make sure they aren't too busy in the future. If you need your vehicle serviced, do yourself a favor and look somewhere else. More

Of the four bolts th I took my 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 in for warranty service on my passenger side air bag. They failed to install it correctly/safely. Of the four bolts that secured the unit, two were missing and the other two were only halfway tightened. After showing the video and discussing this issue with the Service Manager, he admitted that the part was not installed correctly and blamed it on an emplyee that no longer worked there. As compensation he would install some front end parts that I had purchased; boy what a mistake! Almost all the parts were installed incorrectly and in my opinion haphazardly hoping I would not inspect the shoddy/dangerous workmanship. The bellows on my steering rods were twisted because the tech did not bother to relieve the tension when conducting the front end alignment which they would eventually fail and have to be replaced prematurely. Additionally, the service tech crushed my front ABS sensors rendering them useless and causing a warning light on my cluster to sound an alarm and light for (ABS/Brake). Now my brakes lock up when I attempt to brake under normal running conditions- extremely dangerous. Lastly, the front lower ball joints were over pressed into the lower control arm and had to be cut out and replaced. The only part installed correctly was the steering mechanism. Although I am not a certified mechanic, I've grown up with a wrench in my hand working on all of my own vehicles with my father who was a diesel mechanic for Yellow Freight and a Teamsters Union leader for 40 years. I did not bother going back to Homer Skelton Dodge in Millington, TN to point out and argue the point because they had chance to rectify their failure once and I wasn't about to let them do it agai- do it to me once kinda deal. You have been warned as a consumer that it is only a matter of time before Homer Skelton Dodge in Millington, TN is responsible for a catastrophic failure of someone's vehicle which could end up in loss of life. DO NOT PARTRONIZE HOMER SKELTON DODGE IN MILLINGTON TN!! More
On December 18, 2013, I visited Homer Skelton Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep Millington, TN dealership and in all my years of visiting dealerships and purchasing vehicles I have never experienced an operation that Dodge, Jeep Millington, TN dealership and in all my years of visiting dealerships and purchasing vehicles I have never experienced an operation that showed this amount of unprofessionalism. For starters, I am an officer in the United States military and I used a car buying service that located the particular vehicle I wanted a GMC Sierra or Chevrolet Silverado. The car buying service pointed me in the direction of Homer Skelton CDJ in Millington, TN a three (3) hours one-way drive from my home. A week prior, I called the internet sales department at Homer Skelton CDJ Millington and spoke with Summer Crisel about a 2012 GMC Sierra 1500 SL with 3,600 miles, listing price $24,510. We conversed about all the accessories of the vehicle and how I should drive to Millington, TN and take a look at the vehicle. I did further research on the vehicle and got approved by my financial institution to purchase the vehicle. On December 17, 2013, I spoke with Crystal Coleman about my interest in the vehicle and we agreed I would drive from my home in Mississippi three (3) hours away to take a look at the vehicle. On December 18, 2013, I took off work and drove 168 miles one-way to Millington, TN to witness the worst unfair business practice I’ve encountered at a car dealership. We made it to the dealership at 9:00am, spotted the 2012 GMC Sierra that I wanted. We walked to the end of the lot, went through the truck from bumper to bumper inside and out. We even raised the hood and looked over some of the engine components. During this whole process a salesman or saleswoman never greeted me. No problem, I knew I came for the 2012 GMC Sierra with my check in hand. Once inside Crystal was paged to the front, she paired me with Kevin Cranford and she retrieved the keys from the key file lock box. Kevin and I proceeded to talk and we went on a 20-30 minute test drive. Everything was great, so I thought. We make it back to the dealership and start crunching numbers. In the process Kevin prints something, goes to the printer and comes back with the news “The truck has been sold or is in the process of being sold, some guy here at the dealership is buying the truck”. On Kevin’s behalf, you could tell that he was baffled and this was a first for him. I proceeded to ask question like “I called last week and this week and wasn’t informed the vehicle was sold?” “If the vehicle was sold why was it still parked with all the other unsold vehicles?”, “Why was the key to the truck still locked away in the key file with all the other keys?”, “Why was the vehicle still listed on the internet until 1:00pm on December 18, 2013?” “Why wasn’t the vehicle cleaned, full of fuel, and the clearance writing taking off the windshield?” From my research I knew the truck had been on the market 419 days. All I got was “we’re sorry”. I took off work and drove 330 miles road trip to be swindle by what I call is insider trading. I came to Homer Skelton CDJ in Millington, TN with a great feeling thinking I was going to get the royal treatment because I was military and their website is so patriotic and I left with nothing but a loss of a days pay, no fuel reimbursement, and not one General Manager to explain to me what happened. Is this normal business practice at all Homer Skelton dealership? William More
