Holt Motors in Cokato had my daughter's Escape for 4 months. Service advisor, Jake, lied to her and the warranty company, causing the claim to be initially denied. After proving all maintenance was done with synthetic oil changes every 3000 miles, warranty approved the repair but HOLT PUT THE WRONG YEAR MOTOR IN IT. When they installed the correct year motor they gave it back with lot-rot so bad that it shook violently braking. It now needs new rotors since Holt let it sit for so long. They had the nerve to charge my daughter an additional $250 for her $100 deductible and bolts that the warranty wouldn't pay for. We've contacted the owner Kate several times to speed up the repair through the process and have them waive the $250 bill, and she says they did the best they could. If this is their "best" you should never go there or Lundeen Ford in Annandale, which is also owned by Kate. More

It had been on my bucket list to get a new Ford F-150 someday. Members of my family have been buying Ford trucks for almost 100 years. Ford's Build & Price website pointed me to a place called Holt Motors for having a large selection of F1-50 trims/features. It turned out they had the one I was looking for and I didn't need to backorder. I decided to take the hour and a half drive and pay them a visit in a great town called Cokato, MN. They are one of the oldest dealerships in the state, family owned, and part of their showroom has antique Ford memorabilia that is worth a visit for any car enthusiast. I noticed a Henry Ford calendar on the wall from the 1950s. I met Sarah and she is 100% the kind of person you'd want to purchase a vehicle from. There was no sales pressure. She was genuine, warm, an expert on trucks, and extremely professional. I could also tell they ran a great service department with quality technicians that know Fords. I went ahead with my purchase in full confidence and have been loving my truck for the past week. It was a great purchasing experience. I should also mention they have extra dealer services that provide lifetime repairs and extended warranty for as long as you own your vehicle. I usually avoid these kinds of warranties but you should consider them here. Their prices are extremely fair and it is worth the piece of mind. We also worked with Caleigh to finalize the purchase and she too was such a tremendous person. I am not a review guy but I felt a need to let you all know about my experience. If you want a very fair price, if you want to establish a relationship with a dealership that is going to take care of you, treat you like family, and treat your vehicle with care and concern for the life that you own it, you should head down to Holt Motors. In a world where people are often rushed, pressured so they can make sales quotas, pushed through the process, and that good old-fashion small town personal touch seems to be fading away, well this is one of those special places that is still around and reminds you of the good authentic America we love.
