After I got home the invoice said the rotated the tires but they did not. The most insulting part is the oil change area was right next to where I was waiting. The dealership sucks! but they did not. Upon arriving at the service dept. , I asked where I could find Jose Hernandez, another serviceman in the dept. told me that he did not know where Jose was but that he should be back in , I asked where I could find Jose Hernandez, another serviceman in the dept. told me that he did not know where Jose was but that he should be back in 10 or 15 minutes. 15 minutes later, I asked a different serviceman the same question and he told me his tracker was not working today. NICE RESPONSE, U THINK? I tried to explain to him that Jose was the serviceman that I originally talked with about my car problem. His response was, " Do I smell or something?" I was shocked by this response! FROM MY EXPERIENCE COMMUNICATION SKILLS AND GENERAL POLITE MANNERS IN THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT ARE SORELY LACKING! The serviceman said Jose's car was here so he would walk around and try to find him for me. He told me to just wait in Jose's office. Another 10 to 15 minutes later a car pulls into your parking lot and guess who shows up...Jose. Jose said he had just had lunch which was understandable. It seems evident that your service personnel do not communicate with each other when they leave the service dept. I told Jose my air blower motor had finally quit working. When it worked, the ac and various speeds on the blower worked just find. Also, when the blower stopped, the seat fans no longer worked. The estimate Jose quoted was $159 to look at the ac and another $159 estimate to look at the seat fans. IT GETS BETTER! I was told that I live too far from the dealership to be taken home, plus it would take 2 to 3 days to diagnose my ac problems. Funny, I don't live too far to drive to Hollywood Jeep for service. But I live too far to be taken home if my car is worked on and it requires days to diagnose. After I got home, I received an e-mail from Jose with an attached estimate that showed a customer signature and boxes checked like not requesting an estimate before service. I never signed an estimate or checked any boxes. I found this very strange. I want no one signing in a signature box for me ever. I did not have ac problems. I had a blower motor problem. This series of unfortunate events at Hollywood Jeep made the decision easy to take my Jeep to another automotive service business for repair. When I left Hollywood Jeep, I was annoyed with how I was treated and found the experience extremely frustrating. The car repair shop I went to treated me with respect and listened to me when I told them the problem. Turns out replacing a Resistor solved the problem. And it was fixed in a matter of hours. It did not take days to diagnose as I was told it would take by Hollywood Jeep. In conclusion, I would like to say I dearly miss JULES MARTIN, your serviceman who recently retired. I could depend on the fact that Jules would always be polite. I totally trusted his advice. I drove from my home, about 20 minutes from your Hollywood location, and would always go when I knew I could deal with Jules...a trusted serviceman and overtime became a dear "friend". You should bring him back to give your service dept. a seminar on "how to deal with customers". Considering my experience with the service dept. personnel that you presently have, I can say that I definitely will NOT be back for service work. My experience was miserable! We are a Jeep family with three Jeeps in our driveway. I have spent a lot of money there over the years. I could always depend on that JULES would guide me with good advice and speak to me with respect. When I pay a premium price for service, I expect that the serviceman will listen when I tell him the problem, advise me accordingly, and talk to me in a professional, respectful manner. You need to raise the bar a lot higher for your service department if you want to keep your customers. I will not be back. ; More
