I began looking for a car in mid 2012, and being the geek I am, I researched every new car web site and magazine for months. In November 2012, when I went to the Holler Hyundai dealership on Orlando Avenue in Winter Park, Florida, I was lucky enough to work with Fred Coley. Fred is an easy going no-pressure guy that listens. Fred never used any salesman-speak. If I asked a geeky techno question and he didn’t know the answer, he just said, “Let’s go find out.” And we would go to a manager or technical information sheet and get the right answer. Fred put up with me for two months before he found, in January 2013, the exact car I wanted in Tampa. Fred went to Tampa himself and drove the car back. He even offered to let me go with him to pick up the car. I am very happy with the car, Fred, and the Holler Dealership. I have had the car six months now, and Fred has kept in touch to see how things are going. He even made my first routine Sonata maintenance appointment for me. Now a separate note about Christopher, a Holler Manager. My car insurance company balked at their discount for safety/security on the Sonata. They wanted more info on whether the car had security features, etc. I went to the Holler dealership, but Fred was off that day. I walked up to Christopher and told him my issue and showed him the insurance paperwork denying the discount. He took the paperwork, got out my Sonata file, made copies of everything, and then faxed all the requested info directly from his counter to the insurance company. I got my discount. I still believe today that the fax coming directly from the dealership with his comments typed in to answer their questions was much more persuasive than me faxing or mailing from home. Look for me. I’ll be the guy with a big smile on his face driving his 2013 Holler Sonata around Florida, with jealous neighbors back home. And tell Fred I said, “Hi.” More
