Dear Mr. O’Sullivan – We have been traveling down this warranty road together. Warranties are backed by the manufacturer. We are only allowed to perform the service outlined in each warranty. The good news is that your voice was heard (along with many others) that the battery warranty was not sufficient and Honda extended it. First it was extended for certain models, then extended to more. This shows how responsive Honda is to the marketplace. Like you, we were pleased that the warranties were extended, and disappointed that the decision had not been made sooner. Had you continued as the owner, you would have received the upgraded warranty, too. Honda is a manufacturer of integrity. They stand behind their products, as indicated by this warranty extension. We are proud to sell Honda cars because of their responsiveness to the market. We are forwarding your concern to the manufacturer. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to explain the situation and Honda’s resolution.
