That positive experience continued with the service department. Hoffman Toyota is an hour away from our home with closer dealerships available. From my wife's and mother's past negative experiences with their Rav4's at a local dealer, we decided to try Hoffman based on a recommendation. After the purchase, my Tundra had a slight interior rattle that I wanted to have looked at as I am very OCD with these types of things. I figured it would be a Warranty claim so why not try the local dealership again.... BIG mistake. They "couldn't duplicate" the issue, refused to go on a test drive with me so I can replicate it and even denied to look at videos I took of the issues. I called Jose and asked if he recommended working with anyone at Hoffman Service and he said Mike Fitzgerald was the guy to talk to and reached out to him to have Mike call me. I heard from Mike later that afternoon, whom was pleasant and listened to me vent about my past poor experience with the other dealer. He assured me I would not experience such behavior with Hoffman service and set me up with an appointment on a Thursday to bring my truck in and provide me with a loaner for as long as the repair would take. When I arrived Mike greeted me and introduced me to Nelson whom I went on a 20 min test drive with after he and Mike both reviewed my videos. While during the test drive the issue didn't occur (figures), Nelson still looked into it further, taking the truck on many test drives over the next 3-4 days. I heard from Mike on Monday and he stated Nelson believes he heard and resolved the rattle in the dash, but wanted to take the truck home that night to confirm the issue was resolved. The following morning Mike called me and said the truck is ready to be picked up and to stop by anytime. Tuesday afternoon I made the trip to Hoffman and Mike suggested I go for another ride with Nelson. We took the same 20 min. route and confirmed the rattle was indeed gone. Nelson explained along the way the amount of time and level of troubleshooting he spent on this issue. Having worked in automotive service in the past, I understand chasing down noises is not a fun job. Upon returning from the ride, Mike confirmed I was happy with results and assured me that I will always see the same level of service from them. I truly do believe that! More

We had two Toyota Corollas prior to shopping for a new car so we were thinking about possibly looking for a new Toyota Corolla to purchase. We went to different dealerships in Connecticut and this is one of the dealerships we tried. My parents first went to the dealership to look at the cars and they told me they saw a gorgeous Corolla 2015 model in a Slate color positioned inside the dealership. They met an extremely helpful and friendly woman named Jeanette who helped them see the many features of the car that suited us. She helped my parents see the many benefits of buying this car and over time, my parents were sold on purchasing this car. My parents told me the news excitedly and asked my opinion about it. They brought me to the dealership and I got to see the car firsthand and like my parents, I loved it right away. I loved the design and the color. Jeanette was extremely helpful and patient and helped us with all of our questions. We always want to be careful and precise about our purchases especially a car purchase and she completely understood and helped us figure out insurance, coverage, etc. She also found a guy to help us understand this further too. His name is Mike and he was extremely helpful as well. Overall, my parents and I had a great experience at this dealership and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I recommend this dealership to anyone thinking about purchasing a new car! More

The Ultimate Car Buying Experience I'd like to start off buy saying that I was dreadfully car shopping for about a month until a friend referred me to Hoffman Toyota. And I thank God I I'd like to start off buy saying that I was dreadfully car shopping for about a month until a friend referred me to Hoffman Toyota. And I thank God I didn't sign any of the outrageous contracts offered to me by smaller local dealers in the Hartford area! As soon as I walked in Hoffman Toyota, I felt like family! Greeted by everyone with awesome hospitality. Jeannette Garcia made sure I was well taken care of and I felt well taken care of. I went with a 2011 Toyota Camry Hybrid and absolutely adore my new car!! Jamal Alkali was also great in getting me the best rate ever! I am a singe mother of three and can say that I feel comfortable with the payments and feel much more important in my new car. Thanks once more to the whole team over at Hoffman Toyota!! He provided an excellent explanation of what they would be doing to my car during the service and gave me his undivided attention the entire time I was working with him. He was extremely personable, yet professional at the same time. Being new to the dealership with having just bought a car from Hoffman Toyota approximately 6 months ago, I could not be more impressed with Mike and his entire staff. Friendly but poor quality and disorganized service Scheduled routine 35,000 mile service online, and 1) Was told they didn't have my paperwork when I arrived. Since this has occurred before, I showed the rep the print-out from their own reservation system....Turns out, this seems to be a known problem... Note to Hoffman: FIX it, or simply proactively print out the daily schedule rather than waste my time. 2)Discussed intermittent leak from the oil filter they had previously installed. Emphasized that the new filter must be properly seated/installed. 1 1/2 hours later, they had not done the oil change, (or addressed the leaking filter) because 'its not part of this service'. REALLY? After questioning, rep left and returned to say OOPS, an oil change IS supposed to be done. ... Note: Do what you are supposed to do WELL the first time and stop pushing other stuff. Meantime, annoyed customer waits.... 3) 2 hours into it... I'm directed to a window to sign paperwork and was informed my next service has been scheduled for 6 months from today, not, "May I set up your next appointment?" Note to Hoffman: I do not want you deciding when and where I will be 6 months from now. Nor is there any reason to believe I'll be at 40,000 miles in 182 days.. This is arrogance disguised as service efficiency and wastes my time cancelling and rescheduling. 4) Today they called to check if we'd brought in the vehicle for the service....They had no record of it! Really? What happens when we have an issue and they claim we did not do all the required service??? We made the mistake of buying an extended service contract from Hoffman, or I would not be taking the Toyota back to them in future. PS there is no wi-fi or outlet to use while waiting. More
