Toyota, don't put your customers in the middle, I wouldn't I am retracting my earlier neative review intending there will be at least a few lessons we ALL can learn from: 1) Toyota customer service people: I am retracting my earlier neative review intending there will be at least a few lessons we ALL can learn from: 1) Toyota customer service people: do not avoid your customers even if you feel like you are unable to do anything for them. If you promise something fairy simple like a meeting with Mike Siska, and this Mike person does not give a * about your customer and declines - please let me know. 2) TOYOTA: I value your "adherence to strict guidelines", but once your car is sold, you are in a customer service industry- NOT in law enforcement. I strongly believe my case was worth the exception from beginning to end - but you never admitted it. I still appreciate you reimbursing me on a "goodwill" basis, but it feels like you are doing that just to shut me up in a way. AND why this only happened after I called 3 times after the dealership told me there is NOTHING they can do for me (see above). Why do you have to put your customers in the middle and make your dealers feel useless? Discretion up to $200 is not an empowerment, it's just a joke and humiliation. Thank you Kathy and Mike F. for saving the day and treating me like I matter. Thank you Dan for trying too; just don't be afraid of difficult situations, there are plenty of those in work and life, unfortunately. First, when you pick up your car there shou The service personnel do a good job of getting you in and our of the shop. But, I have two suggestions. First, when you pick up your car there should be an opportunity to talk to the service advisor about the work performed . As it is you simply go to the cashier. Number two is more important. After I left my car the advisor, called to tell me that the service technician recommended three items that needed attention. Two of which were costly. I chose to only approve the replacement of the PCV valve, My question is this. If the other two items were so critically in need of service, why wasn't a note made on my invoice that they should be tended to as soon as possible, but no later than my next regular service.? What could be so critical when the car only has 33,000 miles on it, and it has been serviced according to recommendations by Lexus? Why wouldn't they be covered by the warranty? More
