I wish DealerRater let people give negative stars! I have in all my years of buying cars and being in the business saw anything like this place. I went there because they had a Jeep I really liked and I have in all my years of buying cars and being in the business saw anything like this place. I went there because they had a Jeep I really liked and a internet sales person who was fantastic. After I gave a deposit I could not get anyone to return a phone call, text, or email! I waited almost a month and then I went in there planning to leave with the jeep but they again left me standing there over a hour and then when I got mad I said just give me the deposit back... now that was on 12/30/2024 anyone would have thought end of the month, end of the year let's try to save the deal... right? Not Hoffman Toyota they handed me back my deposit and left me again!!! I would have still bought it because I liked it. The only thing they had to do was let me talk to the Sales Manager and vent a little. If this is how they treat people who haven't even picked up the vehicle yet, just imagine how they treat you down the road when you have a problem. No absolutely not would I recommend anyone to them! It was Hoffman Nissans Jeep so I might try them because I still want it. More

I visited 5 Toyota dealerships in CT and choose Hoffman Toyota to purchase my vehicle based on my experience with sales person Julie Hoang. Her honesty and willingness to work with me with out sales pressure was the difference in choosing Hoffman Toyota. Their Simsbury location was further from my house than all the other dealerships, but I'm willing to drive the distance for my purchase and future service. As part of my research I looked at each dealers service department customer feedback and actually went to each customer waiting areas and many were filled with stressed and anxious looking customers. Hoffman Toyota is not a high volume dealer and I felt my future visits would be what I was looking for. If you want to be treated right its worth the drive especially when looking for a vehicle and working with Julie Hoang. More

On January 8, 2024 I gave Hoffman Toyota’s salesman a $1000 depositby credit card toward the purchase of a 2024 Toyota RAV4 XLE that was allocated to the dealership and was supposed to arrive in the next $1000 depositby credit card toward the purchase of a 2024 Toyota RAV4 XLE that was allocated to the dealership and was supposed to arrive in the next couple of months with the option of declining to purchase upon inspection of the vehicle when it arrived. On February 26, I emailed the salesman to tell him that I was no longer interested in the car and to please return my deposit. When I called the salesman, he was rude and hung up on me. I emailed two of the managers of the dealership at two different times and my emails were ignored. More
I submitted interest on a listing on a vehicle in their dealership website, this listing is available on third party sites as well. I recieve a text, even thought I stated in my inquiry they list the means dealership website, this listing is available on third party sites as well. I recieve a text, even thought I stated in my inquiry they list the means by which communication with me which was email. I was advised that the vehucle was no longer available. The person which sent that was Dan Carboni. I called the dealership ssking for an explanation and asked why is a vehicle listed as available when in fact they know it isn't. If my company lists bad content its removed within hour. I get call back and they say the vehicle has a deposit and its their business pratice not remove listing while the vehicle is still on their lot, every appearance of bait and switch, they know the vehicle is not available and it is very easy to remove content. The other part of the switch, he mentions there are many vehicles in stock, I told him they have nothing comparable to a V8 Lexus sedan. the dealership needs to understand they can't display listings which they know are not available, a brick and mortar store doesn't convert easily into a website presence and attention to how customers want to be communicated with.
