Invisible I went to Hoffman Honda yesterday to buy a car. No one acknowledged me, asked me if I needed help, or even looked at me. I sat for 20 minutes in the central waiting area, drinking a coffee, while people walked by me, said hello to each other, made plans to pick up cars from across the street. Men sitting in their offices did not move. I finally walked out, deciding this was not how I wanted to be treated. Lots of other dealers out there. If this is a tactic, it is very old style negotiation; no win-win here for boyh sides. I would strongly discourage women from visiting this dealership. I drove to Torrington and gad a much better experience there. More

So instead, I called Hoffman to see if they'd honor a competitor's specials on service and when Dan said "sure" I booked an appointment. They had me in and out of the dealership on schedule (actually, a little early) and advised against buying a new battery since mine tested fine. Michael was extremely helpful and didn't rush me through anything. Great example of how to treat the customer. I'm sure to be back for future service. More
