The employees at the dealersip worked their little magic to get me into a car that I wasn't willing to pay the extra money for to get the little bells and whistles I didn't need. I test drove a 2011 white Fusion and really felt that was the car for me. But it had extras I didn't need. I was willing to wait to get one that didn't have the extras. I got a call from Shawn McLaughlin on a Saturday morning and was driving it home by that Saturday afternoon. Marco was a great help in selling the car to me. He went out on my test drive with me and was so sure that that was the car for me. He was right. Given my budget I had a set amount i could afford to pay and they made it happen for me. I was referred to them from a friend who said that I would be taken good care of by Billy the General Manager for Hoffman Ford. I spoke to Billy on the phone who from the very beginning said he would do whatever it took to make me happy and match or beat any deal out there. He lived up to his word. I live in Danbury and had to drive 1 hour to East Hartford to work with them. Keep in mind I have a Ford Dealer that is literally 30 seconds from where I live. The drive was well worth it. I would have driven 4 hours to see the Hoffman team. Billy had me work with Dean in sales who was patient, knowledgeable, and "non-salesy". He explained things in a very simple way, which was helpful for me because I'm not a huge "car guy". He didn't try to talk down to me or try to impress me with a bunch of auto jargon. He was just very natural and very pleasant. I was looking for a slightly used Ford Fusion...something between a 2008 and 2010. It came down to two cars for me to decide on. Being the first time I've ever bought a car from a dealer I took a long while to agonize over the decision. Keep in mind it was closing time on a Saturday. Everyone was patient and didn't rush me. I finally made a choice and was able to drive away with the car I was looking for. In the end Billy, Dean, and Joe (he explained and finalized the paperwork/registration/insurance etc) all went above and beyond to help me and went out of their way to make sure that I not only had the best car possible but also the lowest rate for my financing. The car was spotless, the price was amazing (I checked the price against 5 separate references online including Kelley Blue Book and Edmunds) their team were knowledgeable and made everything so easy especially for someone like me who over thinks every decision he makes. I can't tell you how happy I am with them. I totally intend to use them again and recommend them to anyone. If you live an hour or more away its worth the trip. They will take care of you. If you are someone who fears getting ripped off by car dealers or if you have no clue about buying a car and need true professional assistance then see the boys over at Hoffman. I'm trying not to over sell these guys for fear that my review will be discredited but if you had the experience that I did (which I'm sure you will) you would be writing the same thing too. More
Mike, was extremely friendly and knowledgable about the inventory. He was able to multitask handling multiple clients at the same time, all the while not making them feel as if they were waiting. One of the best car buying experiences I've had. I ordered a 2011 Raptor and Shawn and Dean kept me informed throughout. I never even stepped foot inside the dealership until I took delivery. The repair service I got at Hoffman Fords was excellent! Dawe provided prompt and accurate service to my car. She was very knowledgeable, and very pleasant to work with. After researching vehicles online I settled on Hoffman Ford for my purchase. There were extensive rennovations taking place so there were no vehicles in the showroom but they did their best to be accomida Ford for my purchase. I went to Hoffman to look at potentially leasing a car. I just drove the Ford Escape, and ended up signing the lease that day.
