I Went in to Hoffman Ford looking to get another vehicle because my lease was up in my last vehicle. Marco was very helpful in helping me find the right vehicle in the right price range for me. I believe that everyone already has an idea in their head of what they want to buy, and having a nice, pleasant, and friendly salesman like Marco, only makes the visit a much more successful one. A tree limb came down on the hood of my VW while I was driving and damaged the valance, etc, in a bad storm. Drove in to Hoffman around 5:15 pm--service dept was closed. Salesmen were EXTREMELY nice and V driving and damaged the valance, etc, in a bad storm. Drove in to Hoffman around 5:15 pm--service dept was closed. Salesmen were EXTREMELY nice and VERY VERY helpful to my situation--drove my car into the showroom for me and proceeded to remove the valance so I could get home. They were friendly, concerned,and genuinely nice guys. When I go somewhere and receive bad service, I never forget, and I usually don't go back if I can avoid it. But, when the service is over the top, as the salesmen at Hoffman Ford were, I don't forget that, either!! I would definitely recommend Hoffman Ford to others. More
Forget the fluff, let’s cut to the chase- at 4:30 pm on Friday, May 27, 2011, Memorial Day weekend, while driving from Fredericksburg, Virginia to Boston to pickup our daughter from Boston University, our Friday, May 27, 2011, Memorial Day weekend, while driving from Fredericksburg, Virginia to Boston to pickup our daughter from Boston University, our 2004 Ford Explorer began dying on the I-84 East. We managed to reach your dealership (thank God for GPS) just seconds before the vehicle died! Brenda Ford, the service consultant, quickly and kindly responded to our unannounced arrival, servicemen Donnie and Kevin assessed the situation, gave us preliminary courses of action (best and worst case scenarios), made every effort to strive for the best-case scenario, and set out to do everything possible to get us back on our journey without delay. They said it, we felt it, and their actions confirmed their words. No promises, just customer-centric actions! Their diagnostic tests confirmed their assessment, the part was located (remember it was almost 5:00pm by now), Donnie and Kevin feverishly worked to get it installed, Brenda closed-out the paperwork, the cashier (I wish we had her name) closed the customer service loop in the same Hoffman great service fashion, and we were on our way! It doesn’t get any better than that! Hoffman Ford came through for us better than we have ever seen, anywhere, under identical or similar circumstances! Their actions were AMAZING and made us extremely proud to be Ford automobile owners!!! We can see why Hoffman Ford is remolding and expanding. Their service team literally put themselves a distant second to our immediate and very urgent service assistance needs. With service staff like this at Hoffman Ford in East Hartford, Connecticut as an example- every Ford automobile owner can rest assured that quality and customer friendly Ford service is available, no matter where they are traveling, and will be among the best in the country! The employees at the dealersip worked their little magic to get me into a car that I wasn't willing to pay the extra money for to get the little bells and whistles I didn't need. I test drove a 2011 white F to get me into a car that I wasn't willing to pay the extra money for to get the little bells and whistles I didn't need. I test drove a 2011 white Fusion and really felt that was the car for me. But it had extras I didn't need. I was willing to wait to get one that didn't have the extras. I got a call from Shawn McLaughlin on a Saturday morning and was driving it home by that Saturday afternoon. Marco was a great help in selling the car to me. He went out on my test drive with me and was so sure that that was the car for me. He was right. Given my budget I had a set amount i could afford to pay and they made it happen for me. I had a great experience at Hoffman Ford. :-) More
I was referred to them from a friend who said that I would be taken good care of by Billy the General Manager for Hoffman Ford. I spoke to Billy on the phone who from the very beginning said he would do whatever it took to make me happy and match or beat any deal out there. He lived up to his word. I live in Danbury and had to drive 1 hour to East Hartford to work with them. Keep in mind I have a Ford Dealer that is literally 30 seconds from where I live. The drive was well worth it. I would have driven 4 hours to see the Hoffman team. Billy had me work with Dean in sales who was patient, knowledgeable, and "non-salesy". He explained things in a very simple way, which was helpful for me because I'm not a huge "car guy". He didn't try to talk down to me or try to impress me with a bunch of auto jargon. He was just very natural and very pleasant. I was looking for a slightly used Ford Fusion...something between a 2008 and 2010. It came down to two cars for me to decide on. Being the first time I've ever bought a car from a dealer I took a long while to agonize over the decision. Keep in mind it was closing time on a Saturday. Everyone was patient and didn't rush me. I finally made a choice and was able to drive away with the car I was looking for. In the end Billy, Dean, and Joe (he explained and finalized the paperwork/registration/insurance etc) all went above and beyond to help me and went out of their way to make sure that I not only had the best car possible but also the lowest rate for my financing. The car was spotless, the price was amazing (I checked the price against 5 separate references online including Kelley Blue Book and Edmunds) their team were knowledgeable and made everything so easy especially for someone like me who over thinks every decision he makes. I can't tell you how happy I am with them. I totally intend to use them again and recommend them to anyone. If you live an hour or more away its worth the trip. They will take care of you. If you are someone who fears getting ripped off by car dealers or if you have no clue about buying a car and need true professional assistance then see the boys over at Hoffman. I'm trying not to over sell these guys for fear that my review will be discredited but if you had the experience that I did (which I'm sure you will) you would be writing the same thing too. More
