Quick Service Done Right I don't think Hoffman Ford can make it any easier to schedule a service appointment, get the service work done and get me out the door any quicker. I recently scheduled a service appointment online for an oil change, a 30,000-mile service and a warranty issue. I was easily able to select a date and time for this appointment that fit my schedule. When I arrived for my appointment, I drove directly into the garage and was met by a tech who immediately started to take down all the necessary information from my truck (mileage, VIN, etc.). Once done (in only a minute or two), the tech escorted me over to a service writer who brought up my service and truck information up on her computer and entered in to the work queue. Super easy. My service writer let me know up front that the warranty issue I wanted addressed may add some more time to my wait and asked if that was OK. I went to the customer lounge, fired up my laptop and started my morning work. Before I knew it, my service writer (Karen) came over to let me know everything was all set and my truck was currently being washed but would be out soon. We went back to her office where she went over my service ticket and covered some details regarding my warranty issue. I came in at 7:30 AM and was back in my truck headed for my office buy 9:45 AM. I couldn't be happier with the way this service appointment went. More

Fantastic 2017 Ford F150 XLT Purchase I've always wanted a pickup truck and after seeing one of the Hoffman Ford trucks on display at the University of Hartford, I wanted to take one for a I've always wanted a pickup truck and after seeing one of the Hoffman Ford trucks on display at the University of Hartford, I wanted to take one for a test drive. I met with Wes LaValley who found exactly what I was looking for. He and Sales Manager, Eric Reese worked to provide many options for me to select from. Wes went through every feature of the trucks and answered each of my questions and helped me land on the best vehicle for the best price. In addition to Wes, I met with General Sales Manager Billy Genereux who made me feel like I was his top priority. We also shared a military connection that made the exchange feel genuine. check engine light The check engine light came on in my 2016 Explorer sport with less than 25K. I got an appointment to drop it off that night and Hoffman made arrangeme The check engine light came on in my 2016 Explorer sport with less than 25K. I got an appointment to drop it off that night and Hoffman made arrangements for me to have a rental (their dime) that was nice. The next day I got the news that a mouse nest was found in the air filter as well as around a sensor, that was the possible reason for the "code." Ok, I do live in a rural area. I went to the shop at lunch and looked for myself, yup there was a mouse nest and various nuts and mouse leavings. Karen explained that in order to physically look at the sensor for signs of damage or component failure the top of the [engine] needed to come off and there were single use gaskets, O rings and parts that would need to be ordered. The overall job would take a couple of days. So with the pending snow storm they would, clean things out, replace the air filter and clear the codes so that I could take my own car home through the snow storm. I was to return at a later date "when the check engine light came back on." That evening when I picked up my car, which was out in the lot, I popped the hood to have a look, you can imagine my surprise and anger when I saw that the mouse nest was STILL SURROUNDING THE SENSOR!!! I went back inside and told Karen what I had found and she immediately went to bring the car back inside to have it cleaned out. Excuses were made and she came back saying it was too late to do anything they were closing in a few minutes. I had to drive home and vacuum the nest out myself. I am still baffled at what type of a mechanic would put a car back together with a mouse nest intact?! P.S. at least the air filter was cleaned and replaced, small consolation huh? I intentionally did not wish to check the yes/no button for whether I would recommend this service center because unfortunately it is the only service center around but this site would not let me leave it unchecked. More
