Best car purchase ever! I am older, so I have been subjected to many years of the slimy male salesman assuming I'm the ignorant "little lady" whose husband or father is reall I am older, so I have been subjected to many years of the slimy male salesman assuming I'm the ignorant "little lady" whose husband or father is really buying the car. I am a serious driver, who used to do all my own work on engines before catalytic converters, am the primary wage earner for my family, and have a Ph.D. so I'm no dummy. To be able to work on a purchase with Stacey Violette, especially via email while I was too busy to drive the hour south to the dealership, was a dream. We negotiated all details and exchanged the necessary paperwork via the web before I came in for the first test drive. She was terrific the entire time--just the right tone of helpfulness and respect without obsequiousness, a similar enthusiasm for driving, patience when I had to delay the process, minimal resistance to my low offer, and willingness to go the extra mile getting my snow tires switched on to the new car, picking me up at VW on her day off, and so forth. I actually enjoyed the experience--a FIRST! I've already recommended her to friends and will continue to do so. I look forward to the end of the lease in three years so that I can work with her again. I hope she is still at Hoffman then! More
