I found an A4 online that I was interested in buying for my wife. After emailing and speaking with a salesman, I set up an appointment to come in and test drive THAT specific car. They made a big deal out o my wife. After emailing and speaking with a salesman, I set up an appointment to come in and test drive THAT specific car. They made a big deal out of setting up a specific time so that they could have the car ready for me. They sent no fewer than 3 emails confirming the time and date and I got 2 phone calls that morning to be sure I would be there. I arrived 5 minutes early and gave the receptionist my name and told her I was here to see Tim about the A4 and I had an appointment. After 20 minutes of "looking" at showroom cars, no sign of Tim. I checked back with the receptionist and she found Tim standing off to the side, doing absolutely nothing. He came over and began with the typical "are you familiar with Audi and our CPO cars" bs and I said yes. I asked him a few specific questions about the CPO program, of which he could only answer about half of my questions. I thought to myself "manager?", what value is he bringing to the business? Anyway he finally schlepped me off to a salesman who proceeded to ask me to go sit down to discuss the A4's they had. I told him that I was here to see a specific car to test drive and that I had discussed all the details earlier with another salesman. Then the truth came out that the car wasn't there. Whohoo, big surprise. At that point I left. Bottom line is that they wasted my 30 minutes of my Saturday morning in the showroom, not to mention the time to drive there and back. They sent 3 emails and called me twice THAT MORNING with no mention of the fact the car wasn't there. There's no way I would hand over my hard earned money to this bunch of typical used car salesmen. The only thing missing from this whole "used car salesmen" experience were the leisure suits. More
I recently purchased a 2009 Audi A4 at Hoffman Audi and was very pleased with my overall experience. I live in Massachusetts and shopped around at several dealers before driving over an hour to check out was very pleased with my overall experience. I live in Massachusetts and shopped around at several dealers before driving over an hour to check out Hoffman. It was definitely worth the drive! Not only did I get a great price on my A4, I was offered the most for my trade. I really enjoyed working with Gualter Pereira (Audi Brand Specialist) and Tim Michael (General Manager). In addition to being friendly and professional, they both seemed to genuinely care about exceeding my expectations. I definitely recommend this dealer to anyone who is in the market for an Audi. More
Came in to test drive a 2011 new Audi A4 and they had a great staff to assist me. Gualter Pereira Audi Brand Specialist was very friendly and professional at all times. I drove a half hour to this dealersh great staff to assist me. Gualter Pereira Audi Brand Specialist was very friendly and professional at all times. I drove a half hour to this dealership from western Mass because they where recommended from other Audi drivers in Ma. They had a nice selection of inventory and a beautiful showroom. Tim Michael General Manager was also helpful in assisting with my trade. They provided a complete Audi experience that many new car dealerships can not measure upto. More

So, instead of showing me new Audi A4 for sale, he started showing me all used Audi A4. I am not buying anything from this dealer. More
I chose Hoffman Audi first because it's close to where I work but after pulling in with my rental car with MA plates (I live in CT), the salesman took a look at the plate and almost immediately dismissed me work but after pulling in with my rental car with MA plates (I live in CT), the salesman took a look at the plate and almost immediately dismissed me. I was also wearing casual clothes so that might have an issue with this pretentious group of salesmen but little did they know I had cash to buy a new A4. Of course, I didn't mention to them that I had cash but I thought if I requested a test drive, he would see that I was really interested in buying. Do you believe he wouldn't even let me sit in the car I was interested in ...he made up some excuse that the car was getting ready for a car show and that the key was not available. Are you kidding me? Go to Valenti Auto in Watertown if you want a good customer service experience! More
They had a used Mercedes vehicle advertised. We had cash to buy. We appeared at the dealer. My wife test drove the vehicle. We had 2 questions. The next day I got the call - and they answered one of the to buy. We appeared at the dealer. My wife test drove the vehicle. We had 2 questions. The next day I got the call - and they answered one of them. I asked it again - along with an offer contingent on the answer. 20 min later the phone call telling me 'they could not sell the car at the that price." I was like, OK, whats the counter offer? No counter offer - its our stated price - if you want to make another offer - then go ahead. I said, I'm not negotiating against myself, whats your counter offer. I have cash and am ready to buy the vehicle. Sales man gives me a number - I tell him thats not good for me; playing his game right back at him. He said, well, 'you gotta give me a number." I said now we understand each other right? He mumbles something. I give him another higher number- he says he'll get back to me with the answer to the question. 1 day. 3 days. A week. ten days. Then I see they have discounted the vehicle to my original offer. I call back and say, whats up, why didn't you call me back with the answer. No - this is what the salesman said: "I get 30 calls a day, I can't the details of all of them." I tell him that I'll speak with the sales manager. I make the SAME offer I made before to the sales manager - which is exactly $11 less than what they are advertising the car for - he NEVER CALLS ME BACK for a day. He then calls me back and tells me that 'its not their car, its the Porshce dealer's car and he needs to talk to them.' This now a dog and pony show. My offer is ELEVEN dollars under their asking price. $11. Well, it does not include the junk fees, you know, prep, transfer, polishing, etc etc etc. Does not include tax and license, but then no offer ever does - thats extra. The next morning, I go to the Porsche dealership. Talk to the salesman who replaced the guy to sold me MY Porsche. I tell him my story, tell him I am ready to buy, point out the car, point out the price - and tell him my offer. He's like, OK, I'm go make sure its ok with the multi-dealer manager. He comes back out 10 min later and tells me 'that number won't do it, but they'll call me 'later today' when they have their 'rock bottom number.' Well, here we are, 2 days later - the vehicle is now on internet special for $400 less than my offer, which would neatly cover their junk fees and charges - and STILL no phone call. Guess Hoffman too many cars in Jan 2009 to bother selling me one for their asking price. More
