A pleasant car buying experience. Mazda's reputation made it a confident decision and using the internet prior to visit makes the purchase a much easier process. Your location in relation to my home and made it a confident decision and using the internet prior to visit makes the purchase a much easier process. Your location in relation to my home and work also factored in on our decision. A loaner vehicle, when bringing my car in for service, would be the icing on the cake. A shuttle to work/home is nice, but the return trip to pick the vehicle is still a sore spot. Jerry Parrillo More

First, in reading these reviews it has surprised me to see how the quality has markedly improved within the past year. Obviously, someone who cares is now in charge and I hope it continues. Now, as for see how the quality has markedly improved within the past year. Obviously, someone who cares is now in charge and I hope it continues. Now, as for my experience. I've never been to a dealership to buy, much less to get service. I always went to a chain repair shop. But when my check engine light came on I decided to see the pros. I scheduled an appointment for service online and asked a few questions. Within hours I got a reply with answers (and price quotes) for everything from Kevin. When I showed up, I was on guard for upsells and unnecessary suggestions. What I got was far from that: They diagnosed my light, found the problem (much cheaper than I feared), and here's the kicker...the work was scheduled to take longer than the service dept was open. Instead of telling me I was outta luck, Kevin arranged to have the mechanic finish the work (Saturday evening) and due to an issue with the parts department being closed, he took my payment information by phone. I was able to pick up the car at 7pm on Saturday and the charge was done Monday morning, only after Kevin called and confirmed the work was okay with me. WOW! No extras, no pressure, and everything was to accommodate ME, not the dealership. They even WASHED MY CAR for free (which makes me laugh, as I'm a bit embarrassed to have brought it in so dirty!) Well, a week later, the light came back. Kevin had me come back in and they spent an hour more on it. Nothing was found and the light was reset again. All of this was free of charge to me and again, a totally friendly experience. I now have (or will have) all my work done here, as long as Kevin's running the show. A month later, I decided to have my brakes done due to squealing. Again, they checked everything out and suggested the least-expensive option instead of insisting I needed the whole thing done. Unfortunately, this time it was a little worse - I was told an hour and a half and it ended up being 4 hours (I was waiting at the dealership the entire time). I understand, it was Saturday and they were busy. Kevin gave me status updates which helped, as I admit I was getting testy as each hour ticked by. Still, it was a better experience than anything I'd ever had at the Chain Store Which Shall Remain Unnamed. I rated them a 4 on price because, well, dealerships will ALWAYS be pricier than chains but because I wasn't gouged and because Kevin accepted the coupons from the dealer's website it wasn't toooo painful. As a side note, while I was waiting for the brake job (yep, all 4 hours), I spent a while looking at the new Mazda3's in the showroom. I was prepared for the sharks, I mean salesmen, to pounce. Instead, one friendly lady asked if I needed help and I explained I was waiting on my car to be serviced. However, the overall vibe was relaxed and I got a good feeling being there. When I am ready to buy my next car, hopefully in a few months, I plan to go to Duval Mazda FIRST. Thanks to these reviews, I now know who to deal with =) More

I appreciate everything that everyone did for us. We will recommend our family and friends to you. More
My experience was fantastic minus one flaw. I was told by my sales associate (Josh) information that was incorrect regarding my insurance. If he did not know for a fact that what he was saying to me was correct, he should have checked into it first. After I brought it to his attention though, he did everything he could to fix the problem. Even though I had to come back in to do some paperwork, both Josh and Ranae were very helpful, kind, and considerate and made sure they both did all they could to make the experience pleasurable. Ranae really knows her stuff! More
We had a less than great experience at another dealership, so headed to St Augustine only to find no Mazda dealership. Thus we drove a little further and came to your dealership. We drove into t dealership, so headed to St Augustine only to find no Mazda dealership. Thus we drove a little further and came to your dealership. We drove into the visitor space and within seconds Jay was at our side and stayed with us through the process of securing our new car. Jay, Steve and Jessie were friendly, helpful and seemingly wanted to do a great job to gain our trust and business. They all succeeded and we will get our new car soon. Someone is even going to drive it to our home in New Smyrna Beach! What more can a person (s) ask? More
Sharon and Mr. Clausen were great as well as Ranae'! Three changes I might suggest. 1. The price that was finalized prior to the 'paper signing'. When doing the paper work, something was slightly Three changes I might suggest. 1. The price that was finalized prior to the 'paper signing'. When doing the paper work, something was slightly different than the agreed price. Althouh Mr. Clausen approved to "swallow" the difference (and I'm grateful), a deal is a deal. Cashiers check was made out and it can not be changed! All parties involved needs to be notified of the final price! 2. Keys: whether used or new... all vehicles should come with at least 3 if not 4 keys. The customer should not have to pay for additional keys! I was given only ONE! Should that key go bad... I would be in distress with no one be able to assist! I was told I would have to purchase the extra keys at the price of $125.00 for each and would take about 1 hour to make another! After being at the dealers already 3+ hours... staying another hour was not an option...and now I have to purchase keys at my cost! Mr. Clausen agreed to pay for the programming of the keys, but I have to pay for the cutting at $35 per key cut! 3. Extended warranties can ONLY be bought at the time of the sale of the vehicle! Utterly ridiculous... one should be given all the information and prices prior to doing the paperwork. Having to make the decision not to mention even MORE money needed on the spot.......................................... More
My wife called up to make an appointment for her next oil change on her new Mazda 5 and the Service department did not know when they were open and could not schedule an appointment. The owner's manual change on her new Mazda 5 and the Service department did not know when they were open and could not schedule an appointment. The owner's manual calls for oil changes every 3500 miles but the service department wants to do them every 5000 miles. I suggest to anyone purchasing a Mazda not to go to this dealership--they have no clue. It took them two months eleven days to get me a tag on a Jeep I purchased there and I provided them with the paperwork. They did not use the papers I gave them from the DMV--instead they processed new papers and spent over $300.00 getting my new tag. If they had used the paper I gave them from the DMV it would have cost $10.00. Don't go there. Ron Schaeffer from Jacksonville More

The sales experience was fine and all of my questions were thoroughly answered. I visited the dealership multiple times and was greeted with good customer service each time. I feel that I received a fa were thoroughly answered. I visited the dealership multiple times and was greeted with good customer service each time. I feel that I received a fair price for my vehicle and trade in value. Once I selected a vehicle, it was my understaning that it would take 1-5 days. Then I was informed it would be at least 15 days. When I was given this information, I searched for the vehicle myself and found additional options which I then sent to Curtis and Steven. I sent two different options and heard back about the first one only. A few days after I emailed them my second option, I got a call that a vehicle had been secured. I feel that if I would not have pushed and done my own research they would have waited the 15 days and not made the extra effort to get another vehicle more timely. However, the main reason for a rating of 3 for my overall experience was the day that I picked up the car. When my boyfriend and I met with Renee to sign the loan papers she was giving us information that contradicted what was told to me by Curtis and Steven. She explained that she was not involved in those conversations and she cannot guarantee what they promised because she was a third party (bank). I feel that it shouldn't matter if the sales people are employees of the dealership and the finance person from the bank, it should be transparent to the customer. The exact situation was that I was told by Steven when I paid my deposit prior to 9/30 was that I would receive 0% for 60 months and 90 days of no payments per the current Mazda USA offer. Renee said that it was one or the other and that it may have been an offer in September and not October which is when my car finally arrived. It was my understanding that I paid the deposit for that reason, to guarantee the offer in September because it may change for October. I told Renee that I was not going to purchase the vehicle if they did not honor what was told to me. She spoke to the GM and he came to talk to us and said he would honor that deal. In addition to this, he also approved a lower price on xzillon treatment due to our experience. If I would not have had the issues with Renee and had to aruge to get a fair deal, I would have rated my customer service a 4, Friendliness a 5, and overall experience a 4. Curtis, Sharon and Steven were a pleasure to work with and I am exceptionally grateful for all Sharon's help and friendliness the day I picked up my car. I would still recommend this dealer to a friend but would share my experience as a warning. More
