On 08-19-2022/Friday my wife informed me there was something hanging down from the front of the car nearly to the ground. Upon inspection it was a plastic shield under the passenger side of the engine something hanging down from the front of the car nearly to the ground. Upon inspection it was a plastic shield under the passenger side of the engine. We had planned to leave for Idaho on Monday, and looking at the time it was near 3:30. We decided to take it to Hinshaws since we have been long time customers there. Due to traffic when we got there at about 5 the service reps informed me they stopped taking jobs at 4:00 o’clock. We have dealt with Mike SANDS when he was a service writer and was happy to hear he was promoted to service Manager. It just so happened Mike was there when the service rep/writer was delivering the bad news to us. Mike inquired about the problem, after listening to me, without hesitation he swiftly walked out and examined the problem. He informed me he would be able to zip tie it until it could be fixed properly. After retrieving a zip tie he found he was not able to secure it and asked for the keys, Mike drove the car into the shop. Minutes later he returned with the car. Mike informed me the clip securing the shield had been pulled off and he was able to grab another clip and properly secured shield. Asked Mike how much I owed and he just waved me on and said to have a nice trip. Mike has been the main reason we return to Hinshaws Honda for all our service needs. Mike goes well and above trying to please his customers! The new service reps / writers at Hinshaws would do well to emulate Mike Sands friendly, caring and service attitude.
