Disappointed with service department Our Lexus has a recall for Takata air bag AND a recall for dashboard issues. A person in the service department put the car on a 'waiting' list months Our Lexus has a recall for Takata air bag AND a recall for dashboard issues. A person in the service department put the car on a 'waiting' list months ago and we have not been called. I stopped at the dealership for a tire issue today and found out Takata airbags have been available. It's disappointing that the service department did not call to let us know airbags were available and to set up an appointment to have one installed. Met with Kirsten Rismiller about the tire and she immediately had the tires checked and found we have a tire sensor issue. As she was entering the order for the sensor into the computer, I mentioned the airbag issue. She included the airbag in the order. I am grateful to her for her prompt response and follow through. Still waiting for the dashboard to be manufactured and shipped. I realize this is not the fault of Hilton Head Lexus, but I do hope we will be notified when one is available. More
