In April, 2013, I drove into Hilton Head Honda, intending to look at the new Honda Civics to replace an 8-year-old Mazda. I had always been a Honda fan, but had bought the Mazda when I needed a hatchback an to look at the new Honda Civics to replace an 8-year-old Mazda. I had always been a Honda fan, but had bought the Mazda when I needed a hatchback and Honda wasn't making one in a small model at that time. Since my teenage son had learned to drive on my Mazda (need I say more?!) and was now off to college, I was now ready for a new car that would not need to be in the shop for anything other than regular maintenance. A For-Sale 2000 BMW Z3 called out my name when I drove into the parking lot! I knew it was impulsive, and not anything I had intended to purchase, but it was in such good shape and looked like it had been cared for with kid gloves, so I was hooked. It had no warranty, of which I was fully aware. HH Honda was generous enough to replace a leaky radiator and the hydraulics for the seat controls before I even signed the paperwork. The ensuing troubles are too numerous to mention (and I would rather not re-live the experience!). Suffice it to say that HH Honda paid for many of the repairs that they were NOT obligated to take care of, and I was very grateful. The last straw was when the transmission needed to be rebuilt. I went back to Honda with my tail between my legs, hoping they would take the BMW in trade and help me to be able to purchase the originally-intended Civic. Evans Simons, the New Car Sales Manager, went over and above to work out a trade-in and a deal that I could afford. He could not have been more gracious, apologizing for the trouble I had, handling all the paperwork, and allowing me to pick up my new car the next day. Two lessons learned: One, to NEVER buy on impulse (and without a warranty), and Two, to ALWAYS buy a car from Hilton Head Honda. More
I had my 2003 Honda Pilot in for service at the Honda Bluffton dealership. While there, as one might expect, the new cars on the show room floor caught my eye. As my daughter, from Virginia, had recently purchased a new CR-V I found myself interested in that model. My interest grew and as most do I began a research agenda looking at specification and competitive pricing for the CR-V EX-L w/navigation. With info in hand I made a stop at the dealership and it was my good fortune to meet Dan McGinnis. He represented the dealership very well, and I found him to be competent, knowledgeable and with a desire to not only make a sale but to satisfy my interest in the car of my choice. Happily I drove away with my new 2014 CR-V the same day, but not before Dan spent a good hour providing detailed information on the operation of some of electronics of our new Honda CR-V. A good experience was had and we would highly recommend Dan McGinnis as well as the dealership he represents. More
I purchase new cars frequently but working with Grant was one of the most favorable and professional experiences I have ever had. He never pushed me or acted like the sterotyped car salesman. This was an exceptionally easy transaction .. my husband and I using Tony/Shawn to once again exchange the lease of our car with a newer model. They are both incredibly professional and want nothing more th and I using Tony/Shawn to once again exchange the lease of our car with a newer model. They are both incredibly professional and want nothing more than to please you and to make the event 'uneventful' in that there are no jumping thru hoops and waiting for things to happen! It just happens! We shall use then again in a few years knowing we have two guys who really do know their business and will work with you quickly and efficiently with no hidden surprises. Grant was as honest a sales-rep I have dealt with since my first car in 1969. He instructed my daughter on her first new car at the dealership and THEN he even came to our home to re-instruct her in a mor my first car in 1969. Todd Kelley is an extremely professional, caring sales "consultant." He listened to our needs and offered the perfect vehicle for our price range! We called Todd the next morning and he made sure all items were resolved within 24 hours so we can enjoy our "new" used Odyssey! More
Working with Grant Boss is a pleasure. Too often the sales people are "hustlers" and pressure you ... they have to do it, and you feel it. That is not the case with Grant. This entire purchasing experience was friendly, unpressured and accurate in all details. I've purchased many cars in my lifetime, this was the first time the experience was actually enjoyable. Grant made the process simple (even though today's transaction requires a PILE of paperwork). The car is beautiful, it is everything is was advertised to be. On the small things we haven't figured out, Grant helped us understand them. He gave us a little "training program" when we sat in the car the first time and this was time WELL SPENT as it helped us understand our new car and what we still needed to learn about it.
