I inquired about a 2004 White Honda Accord. Got an email back saying it was still available and that I shouldnt definitely come in for a test drive. "They were having a sale this weekend". I drove out the back saying it was still available and that I shouldnt definitely come in for a test drive. "They were having a sale this weekend". I drove out there an hour only to find out the car was already sold 3 weeks ago. They looked at me like "Big deal, we'll find you something else." Their customers were very rude except for one gentleman that felt bad for what had happened. I sat in 2 hours of traffic on the way home. I am not one of those crazy people, and normally I wouldnt say anything, but this was by far the worst experience I've ever had. I reported them on autotrader for false advertising and they STILL have the ad up there! Would NEVER go there again. More
BEWARE!!!!!!! This dealership is very dishonest and uses the BAIT AND SWITCH tactic. I was lured into their net by reponding to an advertisement on Autotrader.com. The ad was for a 2007 Honda Pilot EXL wi the BAIT AND SWITCH tactic. I was lured into their net by reponding to an advertisement on Autotrader.com. The ad was for a 2007 Honda Pilot EXL with DVD and only 11,500 miles. Price was listed at $24,595. Sounds good, right? Since I do not live in the NY area, I e-mailed them and told them I would have to make a lengthy journey to see the vehicle. I would need to have everything set except for the test drive and final inspection. They were just concerned about when I could schedule an appointment with a salesman. I ignored their continual e-mails because they would not set a definite price for the vehicle. After a couple of days, they offered a $250 discount off of the asking price. I called on a Saturday afternoon to inquire whether the vehicle was still available. I was told that it was still available. Since they closed at 6:00, I informed them that I would call back at 5:55 to be sure that the vehicle was still available. Again, at 5:55, I was informed that it was still available. So, I booked an airplane ticket to New York. I was there when the dealership opened at noon and Guess What? The vehicle had been sold. Now mind you, they had to check. They did not know. This is a very tiny dealership with few cars. Any business person would have known their small inventory. But guess what? They said that they would be happy to make up for my trouble with another vehicle. A 2006 with 48,000 miles or some other vehicle that I did not want. Finally, BEWARE THIS IS A DISHONEST CAR DEALERSHIP. DO NOT DEAL WITH THEM!! More
I brought my CRV to Hillside Honda for a warranty service. They asked me twice where I purchased the car. Does it make any difference? They argued and convinced me that I needed to have my transmis service. They asked me twice where I purchased the car. Does it make any difference? They argued and convinced me that I needed to have my transmission oil changed at 25k miles. The Ownern Manual specifies 120K miles. Are they stupid or are the padding the bill? If you decide to bring your car here, WATCH OUT $$$$. More
My wife and daughter went to the dealership yesterday to lease a new honda accord. I had emailed the dealership and received a statement from them that they would lease the car for 2500 out of pocket and 2 lease a new honda accord. I had emailed the dealership and received a statement from them that they would lease the car for 2500 out of pocket and 249 a month. My wife actually called to confirm that the car in which we were interested was at the dealership. She was told that the accord lx coupe in silver was there, and the deal noted above was true. Well, it did no turn out to be the case. The car was not there when my wife arrived 30 mins. later. It would have to be ordered and because of this the price would be 349 a month with 2500 out of pocket. My wife said "no way" and at that moment showed the salespeople the email from the dealership idicating that they would lease the car for 2500 out of pocket and 249 a month. At that point, my wife was told to give them 1000 and the car would be ordered. Although they then said that they would honor the 249 figure, they would not do the credit check until after the car was there, which then left the situation where they could again change the terms. By the way, out credit if fine. My wife, and my 19 year old daughter, found the whole experience very distasteful and they walked out. More
I am very pleased with my purchase of my used car. The I am very pleased with my purchase of my used car. The environment is welcoming. The sales staff is friendly. Perhaps a bit too friendly. Especia I am very pleased with my purchase of my used car. The environment is welcoming. The sales staff is friendly. Perhaps a bit too friendly. Especially when they are married which is extremely in appropriate and unconfortable. Perhaps the sales manager should remind his/her sales staff to mind their manners and keep the purchase transactions strictly professional. My focus was to strictly buy a car. Very distasteful. More
Dennis Harris gave us a great deal on a great car. But Dennis Harris gave us a great deal on a great car. But more than that, he patiently listened to all of our questiona & concerns. We felt assured th Dennis Harris gave us a great deal on a great car. But more than that, he patiently listened to all of our questiona & concerns. We felt assured that although he was a salesman, he had our best interest at heart. He walked us through the complexities of pruchasing a new car & as an added bonus we were given a tour of the service facilities. Dennis was with us every step of the way. We feel that this is the beginning of a rewarding relationship, not only with Dennis Harris but with Hillside Honda as well. More

When the Hillside Honda Sales Manager, Mrs. Carolyn Olavarria, crunched the numbers and searched for cars that met my budget and car needs, I got a gold-colored Honda Accord EX, like my old 2003 Accord, but in excellent condition. I took a test drive, and it ran beautifully with strength and no hesitation on hills. I looked over the Carfax report, which they gave to me right away, and it showed that the car was well-maintained. I looked under the hood at the mechanics, inside the car and in the trunk. The car looked and ran above my highest expectations. More
I was looking to purchase my daughter her first car. We both had been through so many dealerships in queens that i was not satisfied with the prices and the customer service. It got to the point that i was both had been through so many dealerships in queens that i was not satisfied with the prices and the customer service. It got to the point that i was going to go with nissan instead of honda but my daughter heard about hillside honda and that was the last dealership in queens and honda we were going to try.For some reason once we entered the show room we were greeted so nicely and from their on i was very suprised and amazed at the customer service. I must admit I was a little surprised in the way my whole experience took place. I came into to the dealership with an offer i had received from another dealership... Looking to see if they would be able to experience took place. I came into to the dealership with an offer i had received from another dealership... Looking to see if they would be able to beat that offer. Now that I look back at it, i was a little naive and unaware of some of these dealerships dirty tactics. Wally was upfront and honest from the minute i walked into the dealership. He showed me how the offer i received was an unrealistic offer, and that they were trying to basically mislead me with their offer. He provided me with comfort and insight into the whole car buying process. he was very patient and also understanding. In the end he gave me a gave me a good deal on my lease. I recommend hillside honda to anyone who is looking to receive a good deal and honesty...which is sopmething that is very hard to come by nowadays...but Hillside Honda is that diamond in the rough More
