I had determined via Internet reviews and consumer reports that the Volkswagon Tiguan was my next vehicle. However, I felt like I needed to be thorough and take several competing vehicles out for tes reports that the Volkswagon Tiguan was my next vehicle. However, I felt like I needed to be thorough and take several competing vehicles out for test drives. I decided to test drive a Hyundai Sante Fe v6, Chevy Equinox v6, Toyota Rav4 v6, Kia Sorento v6, and the Tiguan. I had test driven all the vehicles and was really liking the new Sorento until I got to Hiley Volkswagon. I was saving the Tiguan for last not realizing the dealership closed @ 8 pm. At 8:20pm, my brother and I rolled up into the lot and started toward the door and stopped as soon as we realized that the dealership had closed. However, before we could turn around to leave, Mark opened the door and asked what we needed and proceeded to let us in where he introduced us to Ken Erwin. They were very accommodating and Ken jumped up to bring a Tiguan to the front for me to test drive. He thoroughly went through several of the features and realized that I was looking for more features than the current one he brought for us to drive had. He quickly found another vehicle which had most of the features I was looking for so we could get a true test drive. Ken was extremely helpful and quick to accommodate the test drive. Both gentlemen stayed until well past 9:20pm on a Saturday night and provided excellent customer service. I returned that next Monday evening and Ken quickly located a vehicle for me in San Antonio which met my color and feature preferences. Since I was going through the Internet, the pricing was completely what I expected and I didn't have to haggle much at all. I received a fair value for my trade and financing with Jeff was a breeze. Overall, the whole experience couldn't have been easier. The guys at Hiley VW really made me feel welcome to the VW family. Ken has called several times to follow up and make sure I had everything I needed and made sure my questions were answered. I really appreciated the black VW ball cap Ken got for me to help promote the VW brand! Hilly VW in Arlington is the best place to get your next VW! More
On Valentine's Day, I purchased a 2011 Jette SEL. The total experience at Hiley was one of respect and customer service. As a woman, over the years I have had my keys held hostage at a dealership, been talked down to, and even once berrated because I had supposedly not left enough time to properly purchase a car and I had wasted the salesman's time. I travel quite a bit and because of that communicated with with several different car dealers and manufacturers initally via email. Ken was the only one that took time to answer my questions without pressuring me to come in to the dealership "to see what they could do for me". He supplied me with price quotes on the various models I was considering including a breakdown of the various options for each model. From the moment I walked in the door and met Ken, he took time to listen to me and what I was looking for in a new car. He explained the options on the different models and worked with my screwy schedule to get me a loaner to make sure I was going to like the SE model I picked out. He found the color I wanted and made arrangements to have it brought in. The next morning I called him changing from the SE to the SEL. He cancelled the SE and found the same color for me in the SEL at another dealer and had it ready to pick up the next day. I met with Jeff in financing to take care of the "dreaded" paperwork. Again it was a refreshing experience. Jeff went out of his way to be pleasant, search for an amazing interest rate and then explain the options available on an extended warranty that included a GPS tracking system incase of theft. After I took possession of the car, I got with Jeff on the phone and he talked me through setting up the GPS system on my computer. I can honestly say without reservation, that based on my experience I highly recommend Hiley VW of Arlington. More

As a first time car buyer I had expectations regarding some of the feelings I might have while going through the process of purchasing a new car. I had the idea, that because salesmen can be more eager to get your business than you are eager to spend the money on a new car, I might feel pressured. I was planning on finding a car online myself then just going to purchase it without having to listen to the lines used by typical salesmen to get you to buy that car. I am so thankful that I went to Hiley Volkswagen of Arlington because as soon as I walked in and met my salesmen, Rocky Acosta and Yaw Owusu, I knew that feeling pressured was not something I'd have to worry about. Between the two salesmen I'm sure I was quite the pain. I test drove three cars. Two of them were used and one new. Because of my budget, I was thinking I'd have to purchase one of the used cars. When I test drove the 2011 Jetta I told Rocky that I knew exactly what I wanted but I probably couldn't afford it and he asked what my budget was. Needless to say, because of Rocky, Yaw, Daren and the rest of the team at Hiley I was able to drive my brand new Jetta out of the showroom that day!!! (well, they drove it out. I guess they didn't trust me?) I met people throughout the building during my visit and I feel very confident that I have found the right place to take my business in regards to their excellent customer service, knowledge about the product and their willingness to go out of their way to make sure that when you drive out of that parking lot, you have a smile on your face that won't come off until you hit a water puddle and get your new car dirty! I simply made a reasonable offer, signed a few documents, and the car was detailed and delivered within minutes. I recently purchased a vehicle from another dealership and I have to say that my experience at Hiley sets a new standard for others to follow. Not to mention that I have an incredible vehicle. One last point, my sales rep took the time to show me the NADA and Kelly Blue Book values before the purchase. I wasn't really looking for a new car until mine got smacked into. I accepted the chat and asked a few general questions which were all answered quickly and accurately. From that, I got a call from Ken Ervin and setup a test drive. I took a new Jetta for a spin and liked it. I was looking for something within my budget and a lease was my best option. This is my first leased car and so I had many, many questions. They took the time to answer all my questions. Ken was a wonderful sales guy. Not pushy but laid back and he knew his stuff. I wasn't pressured to buy that first day. I shopped at other places and took other test drives but the friendliness and no pressure sale of Ken and Darren made my shopping experience so much easier. I will be shopping at Hiley VW again. Everyone should stop in before they buy a car some place else. Totally worth it! More
In late 2010 I was looking for a new VW TDI and I was going back and forth between the 2011 Jetta Sportwagen the 2011 Golf. I narrowed down my search to the Golf after seeing some Sportwagens on the roa going back and forth between the 2011 Jetta Sportwagen the 2011 Golf. I narrowed down my search to the Golf after seeing some Sportwagens on the road and not really liking the noisier ride when I test-drove it. I first went to another VW dealership group in North Dallas and got stuck in the back and forth game of, "let me go check with the sales manager" and coming back with lines like "I'm on your side here trying to get the sales manager to give in". And, "I'm really eager to sell you something today since I've spent so much time with you." This was such a turn-off that I ended up sitting on the fence for over a month. I did a lot of internet research on Texas dealerships and inventory and was even willing to drive several hours if the right car and price combination came up. I found a car at Hiley Volkswagen that I liked and called them to inquire about the price. They gave me a very competitive offer and I went in the next day to test drive the car. The sales staff was very friendly and informative. All aspects of the experience with the dealership was great. The test drive distance was good and it allowed me to test drive the car under various circumstances. I haven't had a need for work to be done on the car so I didn't rate that question in the survey. I live 3 miles from a different Volkswagen dealership and Hiley Volkswagen is over 20 miles away, but because of the positive experience I will continue to do all my business with Hiley Volkswagen. The family business atmosphere and how they take care of you is outstanding. There were never any attempts made to push options on me that I didn't want. More
I am a busy person and not really into the usual car negotiations. I was able to call ahead and give the Sales Person a few objectives of the car, general style and price range. The next day, I showed up at the dealership and he had two vehicles parked in front and ready for my inspection and test drive. We drove a sedan and and SUV. Rocky gave me the relevant specifications on each and features and benefits compared to my needs. I picked the car. I went on with my business, filled out an on-line application, and picked up the car the next afternoon with a full in service and red carpet treatment. I may have spend a total of 45 minutes in or around the dealership and I have a new car. That is just the way I like it. I may not be important but he certainly made me feel like it! More
