If you want your credit to be run before you even get a chance to look at the truck you came to see then these are the scammers for you. She walked away with the papers and next thing I know I get a notification that my credit has been run. I mention this when she gets back and she is a deer in the headlights like she had no idea we would be able to tell when it was run. We go ahead and look at the truck and it is completely rusted out underneath so we don’t go ahead with the purchase. I ask to speak to the guy in charge of the financing and he comes out with the excuse of a miscommunication. Apparently saying “I do not want to have my credit run till we decide we want to purchase the truck” is not clear enough for people that want to trap you with putting a hard inquiry on their record that can’t handle it taking any sort of hit. We will be ok but you or the next person might not be able to take that hit. More
