I placed a deposit for a Crosstrek, told it would be there in about 1 week, then notified it was going to be 4 weeks. I then went back to Hiley Subaru and picked out and bought an Outback Limited XT (ca there in about 1 week, then notified it was going to be 4 weeks. I then went back to Hiley Subaru and picked out and bought an Outback Limited XT (cash, no financing). I drove it home and the next morning it would not function (all the electronic functions were "disabled" and could not even make it go in reverse). Miraculously it worked again later that day, drove it back to the dealership, left it until the following day. I was assured they had checked out the computer system and fixed it. I then got back in the car at the dealership to drive it home, and the same thing happened (all electronic systems "disabled" and unable to even drive it). They gave me back my check. They have not yet refunded my $500 deposit for the Crosstrek, which they said they would. It has been more than 40 days and no check. Very frustrating experience at Hiley Subaru in Fort Worth. More
The fact that I HAVE to write at least 15 words here doesn't sit to well with me. doesn't sit to well with me. More
Having my truck totaled in an accident, I suddenly was in the market for a used vehicle. I found the one that I wanted here and the price was not bad so I reached out to come see the vehicle. First time I vi the market for a used vehicle. I found the one that I wanted here and the price was not bad so I reached out to come see the vehicle. First time I visited, sent in the waiting room waiting for my sales rep Josh who I had contacted in advance for 20 minutes. When I came back to purchase the vehicle, I was very clear that I do not purchase extended warranties. However, my credit was in terrible shape at the time so when they offered me financing, there really were only two options. Finance manager Colby said that one of the deals (the lower monthly payment option) require that I purchase an extended service contract (aka extended warranty) in order for that finance arrangement to be available to me. I asked no less than three times , if he was serious that this was a requirement of the lender that in order to get the finance rate quoted, I had to purchase an extended warranty. Each time he assured me it was absolutely necessary. When he brought back the paperwork there were in fact, two extended warranties in the price. As I was reading through the paperwork I noticed the second warranty was about wheels, finish protection, and door dings…all the things I especially do not need a warranty for. Once I pointed that out, he did admit that I probably didn’t need that one and “went to his manager“ to get that removed. However, shame on me that I didn’t question further on the one extended warranty that he assured me I had to have (which cost just under $5k). Of course after I purchased the vehicle, I did speak to the lender of my loan and ask them specifically if that was their requirement. As you can imagine, they said it absolutely was not and that I was lied to by the dealership. Shame on me for believing Hiley. I should’ve known better, but having no vehicle and running out of time to purchase, I made a stupid decision to trust a guy who I had questioned multiple times. And it turns out he had no problem lying to me. The price may have been fine, but I cannot abide a dealership that will flat out lie to me. After I realize this I emailed them requesting that they furnish in writing the proof that I needed an extended warranty for my finance deal. I got nothing in writing instead only a series of phone calls, wanting me to call and talk about it. When I was still a sales prospect for them, they had no problem emailing or texting me. But when I need some sort of documentation that they told me the truth, I got nothing. Of course, after about a week, they got tired of me asking and just didn’t respond. I read great reviews about this dealership for the new car sales but I don’t have any experience with that. In my opinion, the pre-owned sales and finance folks at this dealership knew that I was in a bad situation with credit, and saw an opportunity to take advantage of my situation. More
Aaron was great! The Sales Manager, Nick Kennedy was amazing too. They went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and happy. ASK FOR AARON! The Sales Manager, Nick Kennedy was amazing too. They went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and happy. ASK FOR AARON! More
Hiley Subaru far exceeded my expectations of a dealership as a first time car buyer. The sales man I worked with was just so personable and on my side the whole time. He made sure I got the vehicle that was as a first time car buyer. The sales man I worked with was just so personable and on my side the whole time. He made sure I got the vehicle that was the right fit for my lifestyle and budget. He wasn't pushy at all. He made my first time car buying experience super pleasant. I'm beyond grateful to have ran into Gary while window browsing on the lot. He is phenomenal. More
Warranty work completed sat. Was told a higher price for work prior to pick up, but then Taylor ensured the appropriate warranty was applied and my cost was zero. Work complete Was told a higher price for work prior to pick up, but then Taylor ensured the appropriate warranty was applied and my cost was zero. Work completed on time, only downside, first time had to have warranty work performed under 50K miles, but the service was great and I like the new location. Car provided for warranty work was clean and it gave me an opportunity to test drive a newer Outback model. Would recommend Taking your Subaru here for service, love the video and the walk/talk that is Texted and emailed. The technician always sound professional. More
