Upon arriving to Mazda, I had no idea what car I was looking for. As soon as we showed up, Scott immediately greeted us with a friendly attitude. He made the test drive experience a great one, and really helped me understand all of the car's qualities. They will continue to have my service in the future. Spent 8 hours looking for a used car for my teenage daughter on the first day of Memorial Day Weekend 2011. Went to 5 dealerships. At the first four, salesmen either weren't available, weren't particulary interested in selling me a car, had no clue about the cars on their lot, or showed me vehicles that were so bad I had to cut short the test drive for fear of breaking down. My last dealership was Hiley Mazda, where I was met by salesman Shelton Lattimore. Shelton sized up my family quickly and pointed us to several appropriate, quality options. We selected one of his recommendations, test drove the car, and knew we had finally found "the one". Shelton has an great personality, is knowledgeable, and is very easy to work with. He knows exactly how to get a teenager hooked on a car during a test drive. Shelton made the negotiation process quick and painless, giving us what we wanted while I'm certain making a good profit for Hiley. We had one maintenance concern about the car that Shelton quickly addressed, putting us at ease and sealing the deal. I highly recommend working with Shelton if you're looking for a car. More

When I agreed to purchase the 2011 Tribute that was at another dealership, they told me they were going to loan me a 2011 Tribute they had on the lot because they wanted to get my trade on the lot as soon another dealership, they told me they were going to loan me a 2011 Tribute they had on the lot because they wanted to get my trade on the lot as soon as they could. I agreed to this and was able to drive the loaned 2011 Tribute off the lot that day. My overall experience at Hiley Mazda was extremely good. The only disappointment I had during the whole experience was my dealings with Larry Chin. Larry was very friendly on the Saturday I agreed to purchase the vehicle. I had explained to him while signing paperwork that I would be paying cash and would have to contact my financial advisor to get the check. He said he wasn't worried about the check, but when I came in the following Tuesday to bring in the title to my trade in and pick up "my" Tribute, Larry had a quite different attitude. He asked me grufly if I had the check and I explained to him that I didn't because as I had said on Saturday I had to talk to my financial advisor to get the money. I had called my financial advisor day before (Monday, the first business day after agreeing to purchase the vehicle) and explained I probably would not receive the check until Saturday or possibly the following Monday. He acted very concerned about this situation and I began to feel like he thought I was going to steal the vehicle because he was speaking rather harshly. Believe me, if that was my intent to steal the vehicle I would have just taken the loaner and not brought it back with the title to my trade in! He asked me to write a personal check to hold until I brought the check from my financial advisor which I agreed to do but also told him it wasn't worth the paper it was written on since the funds weren't in that account. I recieved the check from my financial advisor on that following Monday and brought it in on Tuesday. That Tuesday morning I received a call from Larry where he left me a short message that only said who he was and that he was looking for my check! When I came to pay for the vehicle, Larry's attitude was friendly and happy again. I didn't appreciate being made to feel that he assumed I had intentions to steal the vehicle. It was the dealerships choice to take my trade and give me a loaner vehicle and I didn't see a reason for him to assume I had any bad intentions. Grand theft auto is not a plan in my life to ever attempt and I had already signed that I intended to buy the vehicle, so I didn't understand the attitude. I didn't feel it was an extended amount of time to pay for the vehicle since I was going through a financial advisor (1 week from the day I picked up "my" vehicle). I did, and have, enjoyed my experience at this dealership since Hiley has owned it over the last few years which is why I wanted to buy the vehicle from them rather than driving to the other dealership. It's a shame the finance person made feel like a criminal when I was paying cash! Hopefully this review will be shared with Larry and he will be more careful how he treats the customers. On the other hand.... Shelton was awesome! He had a wonderful attitude throughout the transaction and seemed truly happy that I was happy with the vehicle I had purchased. I will recommend this dealership to my friends and family and will continue to bring my new vehicle there for it's maintenance. More
