I really wanted to like this place. I like the salesmen and the entire business model on mostly online sales. But somehow, what started off as a simple mostly online transaction someh I like the salesmen and the entire business model on mostly online sales. But somehow, what started off as a simple mostly online transaction somehow descended into 6 months of Chaos. I took a train from KCMO to Chicago in Dec 2022 after finding a black Ford Mustang online. I test drove the car, and finished up my paperwork. I had the dealership roll the cost of taxes, registration plates and tags into the cost of the car after they promised me they could handle it, that they do this stuff all the time. Left Chicago the next morning. They gave me a 90 day temp tag expiring at the end of March 2023. Everything is fine with the car but I notice I have not received my license plate or registration for the car and my temp plates expired in less than a month. I call the dealership, and am told an employee named D**n handles all the registration and plates and I would need to speak to her…but, she’s only works 16 hours a week. 9am to 1pm and off every Tuesday. After confirming they only have 1 employee that handles the paperwork for ALL of their customers that barely works part time. I was able to get her on the phone once, 2 weeks before my plates expired and she promised me she would over-night all my stuff to me before the temp tags expired. After being ghosted by this woman for another week, I called the Illinois DMV who told me the only way I could get a temp tag extension was to report the dealership to the Illinois Secretary of State Police, which is exactly what I did. I faxed the police my Bill of sale, and filed a report against the dealership, thank goodness I did too, because suer enough my plates and registration for the vehicle were not sent to me by Highline. After being ignored by D**n for another week. I contacted my original salesman R** S. He too attempted to give me the run around and told me I just have to wait for D**n, until I told him I had reported the dealership to the Secretary of State. He accused me of threatening him and the business, I told him I did not threaten anyone, I simply updated him on the actions I had taken, I had to take because it would be Illegal for me to drive the car with expired temp tags. It wasn’t UNTIL I called the police and made a report that this company decided to regularly contact me with updates. Turns out they sold me a car they never had the title to, and “forgot” to try to obtain the title until I started calling them and complaining. They hadn’t paid the taxes either and they had to mail me a check, refunding the money I had them include in the loan so I could pay the sales tax in my state. I never heard from D**n again but I was put in contact with a woman named Maria I., who was very clear and honest and candid and apologized to me for all the dealership had put me through. She saw to it that I finally got my plates and registration and hunted down the title. Had it not been for Maria, this dealership would’ve gotten an even worst score from me. In short, this dealership is dishonest, bad at communicating, sells cars they do not possess the title to, short staffed, and has terrible customer service. I cannot recommend anyone use them based on my experience, frustration, and considering all the personal time I had to spend straightening out THEIR mistakes More

10/20/22- Spoke with Sam today at Highline Auto Sales regarding my Range Rover I purchased from them on 5/6/21. He was awesome! very understanding about the issues I was having with the vehicle.
