Purchased car on 6/22/2021. Used of course, Reasonable deal. Car needed new tires and needed to have the AC checked out. Was told at that time that there were no other issues, would trust it to"drive l deal. Car needed new tires and needed to have the AC checked out. Was told at that time that there were no other issues, would trust it to"drive long trips", etc. etc. Dealership kept the car 3.5 days and delivered it on the following Friday. Apparently, the ac was "fine". I requested a print out of all work done since the dealership took in the trade from previous owner. Upon delivery was given a print out of some work done at a local mechanic and then was given an email indicating some other work that this same local mechanic said needed to be done but had NOT been done (including valve cover, etc). I also learned from this email that the tires that were on the vehicle (and the same size tired recommended for me to put on the vehicle - out of my pocket of course) were too big and that it was recommended that the stock size tires be put back on. Of course at this point it was already too late and I had to go pay for the oversized tires that were put on, at the dealer's recommendation. When I asked the salesman about the valve cover and other issues indicated in the email, he informed me that his manager said to take the car to this other local mechanic and they would take care of it. In asking about the plethora of issues indicated in the email, I was told "that's just the mechanics (at dealership" padding for hours"...ok..I guess? Additionally, upon taking the car to the local mechanic, it was immediately clear that something was wrong with the AC, especially the left (driver's side vent). So now, July 5th - my "new to me" car has been in the shop for 13 days (between it apparently sitting in a parking lot the dealership and now at this other local mechanic)....Signed paperwork 14 days ago and car has been in the shop 13 of those days. Moral of the story - be very careful buying (or at least believing) what you are told at this dealership. My first time buying a used car and I fully understand "as is" but I also expect honesty and I did not get that here. Thank goodness this is not my primary vehicle. Of course we have all heard the jokes and similar about being misled at car dealerships but this was my first experience with it first hand. As of: 7/7/21. Car still in shop and now with issues that the dealership said were fixed. No one from dealership has reached our or even attempted to reach out. Got car back on 7/8 from the amazing local mechanic. Not a single communication, outreach attempt or similar from the dealership or dealership management. As of 7/12/2021. Still zero communication or outreach from dealership. We must have drastically different interpretations of "shortly". As of 7/12/2021, have had the car for 2 days (this is after it sat at the dealership for 3.5 and the local (awesome) mechanic for 13 days - popped a battery charging code. Tested battery, it tested fine. Seems it may be the alternator. For a car "that only needed" tires - this one sure needs a lot more............... More
Not very happy. Bought a $25,000 Jeep Rubicon from these people. Discovered the next day it had a transmission issue. Lighten you at all alone they dodged their dealer responsibilities and waited till the e people. Discovered the next day it had a transmission issue. Lighten you at all alone they dodged their dealer responsibilities and waited till the extended warranty kicked in. Haven't driven my Jeep. I already made one payment . Was told to take the Jeep to the Jeep dealership to have the transmission looked at and the warranty approved. Then told by them that the warranty probably wouldn't pay because it was lifted. I bought the Jeep from them lifted and the way it is so the warranty should apply to however it left their car lot. Right now waiting on them to do something about it we'll see More
We were lied to, disrespected, left to sit and wait hours in Tyler's office and no one wore a mask or social distanced. We were told the truck would be ready and had to drive back, it's a 2 hour drive 1 wa in Tyler's office and no one wore a mask or social distanced. We were told the truck would be ready and had to drive back, it's a 2 hour drive 1 way and nothing was done, it wasn't washed and smelled horrible inside, we were told it was immaculate and well maintained but it had rust all down one side underneath that had been sprayed over to conceal it. It was extremely overpriced, we went and got a truck 6 years newer and still under warranty that has actually been taken care of and has no rust and no wreck history for just $2000 more at Planet Mitsubishi. Tyler would tell us he would be right back and we were left sitting in his office. He would disappear long periods, at times he was at the front just talking with all the other workers and laughing like he had nothing else to do. The first visit we were there several hours doing paperwork and he was gone over half of it. We probably spent 3 hours waiting on Tyler to "be right back." The signs were up, the hand sanitizer was at the door. In the 2 days I was there and I wasted at least 6 or 7 hours of my life there, I seen 1 employee use hand sanitizer and NO ONE wore a mask or practiced social distancing. I felt like I was a freak for wearing a mask, maybe that offended them, but I didn't complain about their lack of wearing masks, I just don't think a whole facility needs to go without adhering to those policies but they are posted. Obviously, they didn't like me for some reason but that's ok, Tyler can let other people sit and wait all day while he walks around and hangs out up front having fun with the guys, I have more important things to do! I inquired about a vehicle on their website and got a quick response from a woman named Tonya. I was told the vehicle was being detailed and would not be ready for a few days. Because of the limited pict quick response from a woman named Tonya. I was told the vehicle was being detailed and would not be ready for a few days. Because of the limited pictures online I asked her if she would go look at it and let me know if it had a sunroof or not. She called me back a few moments later and told me it did have a sunroof and that I could go look at it even though it was being detailed. My wife and I asked some family members to watch our kids so we could make the 100+ mile drive just to arrive and find out that suv was missing all the seats and console for detailing and rightfully so because that suv looked like there had been a chuck cheesy party inside of it. Most importantly the xxxx thing DID NOT have a sunroof! My wife was pissed. So I drove 200+ miles round trip and wasted 4 hours of my time because Tonya lied to me. Either she lied to me to get us to come or was too lazy to actually find out if it had a sunroof. To her defense maybe someone told her it did. Either way if the staff does not have any integrity I sure as xxxx would not buy from them. If you are close then I guess going by to check on a vehicle might be worth it but don’t rely on them to be honest about details or the condition of a vehicle. While I rant about how negative my trip and experience was I called the Everitt Chevy sales manager and he told me that dealership has a different manager. He apologized and offered to bring the suv to us when it was done. I would have accepted if it HAD A SUNROOF like I asked for! xxxx he could have at least offered me a gift card for the 200+ miles I drove. Complete waste of a day off. More

Horrible experience These people will say and do anything to get you into one of their cars. I suggest financing on your own or have cash the finance manager is a crook a These people will say and do anything to get you into one of their cars. I suggest financing on your own or have cash the finance manager is a crook and told me so many lies and switched the paper work into my co signers name when I told him not to and added unwanted extended warranty. I was a out of state buyer so they thought they could do what they wanted. O I forgot they continued to Run me and my co signers credits weeks after I told them I’m not going through with the deal. Long story short found a dealership closer with better service and honest people. Stay far away unless you like being taken advantage off. O yea when you complain everybody exacts like their brain dead and confused. More

After 11 years in a minivan, it was definitely time. I searched every lot within a 10 mile radius. Some salesmen tried to force me to get what they wanted to sell while other lots only had worn out vehicles or were way outside my price range. I pulled into Hickory used car superstore a little jaded. Gary saw us looking at a 2004 Honda Pilot. He answered all my questions. He was willing to show me any car I wanted to look at and never pressured me at all. I LOVED the Honda Pilot. It was the best price I had found. It was over $2,000 cheaper than any other equivalent vehicle within 50 miles! Trust me we checked and drove all the way to Charlotte just to be sure! Gary was so patient. I still wasn't quite sure, so Ramiro let me take it for 24 hours! I fell in love. Ramiro got me a great rate. It's been over 3 months since I bought my car and I still love it. I love it still love it. If you're looking for a great car at a great price go see Gary. He's great! Thank you Hickory used car superstore! More
