I spent several nights looking at different dealer websites looking for a Tundra 1794. I was looking for one with just the bed step, door PPF, sprayed in bed liner and Dual Step running boards. They websites looking for a Tundra 1794. I was looking for one with just the bed step, door PPF, sprayed in bed liner and Dual Step running boards. They had one on the lot that could be configured like that but after talking to "J" I was told that the place that sprays bed liners for them would not spray a composite bed. I did some research and found that there are issues with aftermarket spray in bed liners. I researched the durability of the composite bed and decided it would be fine without the liner. I was offered the highest trade in value so I asked for a proposal on the truck. The issue I had with the proposal was the price of the running boards. They are $929 as a factory option and $710 through parts. I was given a quote of $1300.20 for the boards. I expressed that I had an issue of that price multiple times and nothing was done. "J" told me it's hard to deal with someone that won't give a selling price for the truck. Well, it's your truck to sell, but not necessarily the truck I will buy. Because they would not negotiate on the boards I looked else where and found a 1794 at another dealer that was in port and the port options could be changed. They configured the truck like I wanted to include the bed liner and were highly motivated on the price. Wednesday, two days before the end of the month Peter kept emailing me and taking off $500 each email. The next morning the local dealer asked me to come by and let the head man in the used car Dept. get a look at my trade. They sweetened their offer and I took a day to go over things with my wife. On Friday while I was signing the paperwork Peter kept emailing me and actually came in $750 less but that was without the bed liner which I had in my new deal. I decided to stick with the local dealer. The reason I started to look at other dealers in the first place was the price listed on the proposal for the running boards. If this had been addressed, I would not have looked else where. Secondly, I have never had a dealer tell me I was hard to deal with because I didn't give him the selling price. I even received two emails from Chris Pegram asking what assistance I needed. Twice I responded that the price on the running boards was too high, fix it and I will deal . He never responded. I was satisfied to take a deal here if they would have been reasonable in what they said the running boards cost. This truck could have been easily sold to me on February 28 and been in my drive way that evening. More

Kevin was determined to get every obstacle out of the way. Kevin got all problems resolved. Thanks Kevin. I also spoke with Kris Pegram, and Peter both Sales Manager, very nice and helpful. After the deal was finalized, we spoke with Clifford Washington. Clifford spent as much time as necessary to explain all the details. Thanks Mr Washington. I spent at least two weeks on the phone, working on the deal and never went to the dealership. This is the first time l’ll bought a new car in 24 years.
