Service department mis-diagnosed my Prius I drove my Prius home from Chicago without any issues. It then sat in my level driveway for three hours. After three hours, I jumped into it, and found the master warning light was lit up. I bought an OBD2 reader and received error code POA3F, which means Drive Motor A Position Sensor Error. I towed it to Hesser on a Monday morning. They spent the next 4-5 days analyzing the problem. They stated that the transmission was destroyed, and I needed to buy a new one from them for about $4,800 plus tax. Being an engineer, I knew that the transmission will not fail while the car is sitting still. But Hesser was insistent that I needed to buy a new transmission. I towed the car to an independent repair facility, and as soon as they put it onto a rack, they noticed that a wiring harness was chewed through. They quickly jumpered the broken wires, and the car worked like new! So Hesser spent 4-5 days analyzing my car, and wanted $4800 plus tax for a new transmission, when the problem was actually a faulty wiring harness. I will never use Hesser for service. They mis-diagnosed the problem, took too long to mis-diagnose the issue, and still fail to admit that they mis-diagnosed the issue. More

Awesome experience again with Toyota Hesser. I leased for the past 3 yrs with them and had a great experience so when it was almost time for lease to be up I went in to Toyota Hesser again to get a newer car the past 3 yrs with them and had a great experience so when it was almost time for lease to be up I went in to Toyota Hesser again to get a newer car & worked with Matt Schoeller. I emailed/texted back and forth for a few days before I actually went in and test drove the car, a 2013 Toyota RAV4 XLE, and Matt already had my paperwork ready and all the details waiting for me since I was on a tight time schedule. I loved the car and the quick service I got as we filled out the paperwork. Matt was very detailed in explaining the car features to me and the next day came to my work in town to get the car & go have it washed/detailed and filled up with gas. Now that's wonderful service. I highly recommend asking for Matt if you need a new/used car, he is the man to work with. :) My husband and son will be going in to work with him when they need a new car this coming year. Thanks again Hesser and Matt for great customer service! :) More

This was my second purchase of a Certified used Toyota RAV 4 from Hesser. The sales experience from selection through purchase was pleasant and very friendly. The sales person was accomodating and the finance officer went out his way to ensure we recieved the best possible finance rate from Toyota. I had a good feeling about the purchase to that point. As part of our negotiation, I received a set of new tires for the RAV. Within a few days of purchase, two of the four tires exhibiterd slow leaks which had to be pumped up every other day. I contactd the dealership but my calls were not returned until I became more persistent. The dealership offered to fix the tires if I brought it in during the week, which I could not do as i live 25 miles away and work in the opposite direction from Janesville. The dealership offered to find a Saturday time to fix the tires but would have to call me back. That call never occurred. After one month of pumping up new tires, I have scheduled them to be fixed locally at my own expense. I can't with good conscience, recommed the dealership for their post sales service. This was dissappointing. More
Aside from the longer than anticipated wait for the car of our specific choice and upgrades, all the experience was very pleasant. Needed to consolidate from two vehicles to one. Had a 2011 Hyundai Elantra and a 10year old toyota Tacoma. Needed a truck with more room, so although the Hyundai was really too new to trade in, the Deal 2011 Hyundai Elantra and a 10year old toyota Tacoma. Needed a truck with more room, so although the Hyundai was really too new to trade in, the Deal made by Ed Spenske and Hessers' organization was generous, and also received fair value for the Tacoma. They went out of their way to meet my particular needs, which is the reason this is my seventh Toyota purchased from them. [ They are also the Hyundai daelers in town ]. The new Toyota Tacoma extended cab is an exceptional vehicle. We love it! More
!!!Do NOT do business with Hesser!!! We tried to return a lease we got from their dealership. They refused us, despite Toyota Financial saying we had to return to it to their dealership. They sent us two-hundred miles to another dealership only to have that dealership say the same thing Toyota Financial said. Terrible customer service. Will NEVER buy/lease a Toyota, Scion, or Lexus thanks to them. More
