I heart DOUG SMITH! Whatever has happened with my car (this time it was a major blow-out on I-5, necessitating a new tire), Doug acts like I've made his day to get to see my car. I feel so well taken care of; he answers my questions, anticipates my concerns and tries to save me money. Plus, I feel like he always moves me to the front of the line. When car trouble necessitated towing my car to Herzog-Meier, Doug came out to greet me before the service shop officially opened, listened to my concern, and said he would call me when there was news to tell. Once the problem was identified, Doug took it upon himself to contact Volvo and see if the warranty would cover the significant repair bill. The "powers that be" at Volvo agreed to pick up the full repair bill. Doug did this on his own initiative -- without prompting from me. He took care of my car like it was his own. I couldn't ask for anything more. More
Both Doug and Allen in the Service Dept at Herzog-Meier are fabulous. I always look forward to taking my Volvo for service there. I called the day before to see if I could get a ride somewhere while my car was being serviced, Allan said absolutely. As soon as I arrived that morning he picked up his phone to see where the driver was, assured me he would be there very soon. showed me where to sit, offered coffee, came out a few minutes later and said the driver would be there in about 10 minutes and I said perfect, the driver was there in less time than that. Allan called 2 or 3 hours later to say the car was ready and when I picked it up he and the other man were very friendlyand went over what was done and off I went. Very pleasant experience. More
After relocating to Oregon 11 years ago Herzog-Meier has been my dealership. In 2002 they proved that their representatives were "Consultants" not "sales people". They listen to everything you have to say, answer all your questions as many times as necessary for you to totally understand the answers. I just purchased my four new cars with the help of Jeff Eastman and the Mazda staff. I couldn't be happier with my purchase. Service with Herzog-Meier is so easy and comfortable. They take you on time for scheduled appointments; explain everything they will be doing and they thoroughly go through what was done before you leave. Don't waste time with other dealerships because you will never find one that has a staff that is more honest, trustworthy or truly cares about what you want more than the staff at Herzog-Meier. More

Since I had to put an employee name in this review, I want it to be know Peter was a professional salesman. Where the breakdown came was management. Peter tried his best to keep me at Herzog but was told by management to try out Gladstone. We originally were going to purchase a new mazda with Herzog and when we found out we could get a better rate through our online buying service with our credit union. To get the low rate we had to get quotes from three of the prefered vendors. We got quotes from Herzog, Royal Moore and Gladstone Mazda. Gladstone came in at the lowest rate and offered a green car package included in the deal. When I told Herzog I would like to keep my business there because they had already put time in with me and asked to match the price of Gladstone I got a very unprofessional answer. They told me to please go to Gladstone and I would be back in no time because the price I was quoted would not be honored when I went through financing and I would not be treated well. Well shame on Herzog, not only was my experience at Gladstone exceptional, they went above and beyond what I would expect of a car dealership. When the transaction was complete, I let Chad, Julio and Brian in on my experience with Herzog and complemented them on not living up to what Herzog's expectation would be. If you are looking for a Mazda I would highly recommend going to Gladstone Mazda. More

Unfortunately, I did not go with the Mazda, but Justin deserves phrase for being extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. He clearly explained the difference between the models of the new Mazda 6 and showed us comparisons with the 6 and the Nissan Altima and the Hyundai Sonata. I loved the looks and drive of the new Mazda 6 but was not comfortable with the side and back window rear views. More
Yesterday, May 21, 2013 was the first time that I had to take our VW in for servicing. My husband usually takes care of making the appointments and taking the vehicles in for servicing. She checked me in when I arrived at the dealership and was there when I came back at the end of the day to pick up my vehicle. She was so helpful and friendly. I look forward to my future visits to Herzog-Meier VW service department because of Kristen. What an asset to Herzog-Meier. More
We live rurally, outside the dealership's normal service area. Our service adviser, Kristen Robinson, scheduled our service appointment so that the service work could be completed within a single da service area. After the scheduled work was completed, she also was able to schedule two other pieces of work: replacement of a brake light and an oil change. Kristen also arranged for shuttle service for us to a nearby shopping center, where we ate lunch, shopped at the Mac computer store, and bought some books. Kristen kept us informed at all important parts of the service process. Lastly, she had our car washed. Thank you Kristen for helping us with our Volkswagen service at Herzog-Meier. More
