Came in for a keyless remote and came out with DUCT TAPE!!! My daughter lost her only keyless remote to her Mitsubishi Lancer 2009 in Dover and we had to get the car towed to Herttich in New Castle. Well, once My daughter lost her only keyless remote to her Mitsubishi Lancer 2009 in Dover and we had to get the car towed to Herttich in New Castle. Well, once the car was there, they told my daughter her car was undriveable for 2 reasons: the bumper was dragging on the bottom and needed to be repaired (they are not a body shop) and 2) she needed a NEW BATTERY for over $100! Mind you, she had been driving the car this whole time until she lost the key, now its undriveable because its at their shop!!! Anyway, my daughter called me and I told her NO! She did not need a new battery, just recharge the old one! Really!!! And the bumper they put DUCT TAPE ON THE OUTSIDE of the car and charged her $112 for it!!! Who puts DUCT TAPE on a car???? Ridiculous!!!! Any MORON knows you dont put tape on a car, it will cause more damage to the paint. How can DUCT TAPE make a car driveable???? Wow, Really!!??!??!? Of course Bob the service manager lied and said he explained this to my daughter. C'mon Bob!!! Would you want someone to put duct tape on your daughter's car or your mother's car??? This is really not what one would expect from HERTRICH!!! Very unprofessional, very shoddy, horrible experience, and does Hertrich need my daughter's $112 that bad??? It makes you wonder about the other aspects of their "professional" service...! More
Purchased used mini van, paid cash for it and was to receive title with in 3 days. After 2 years of calling weekly, talking to the office personal and general manager and being told they have no idea wh receive title with in 3 days. After 2 years of calling weekly, talking to the office personal and general manager and being told they have no idea where it was or giving me direction of what to do. Only after getting an attorney involved they called to say it was there all the time and it was sent to the wrong address. I couldn't register it to drive it, or insure or sell it. The owner Fred Hertrich didn't have the common professionalism to reply to my calls or emails. This is truly a xxxx dealer who only wants your money and forgets about the customer. I have also been told by many customers they would never buy again from them. My advice... stay away!!! More

We found a great looking car on line Buyer beware of used cars.. If you are considering a used car from this dealer, be aware of misrepresentation. We found a great looking car on line and enlarged the many photos provided. As we were from out of state and hundreds of miles away, we requested additional photos based on the seller's verbal comments about one noted scratch. We were assured the car was in great shape. In fact, the dealer posted these comments about the vehicle: “It has been well maintained by 1 local owner with a clean AutoCheck!” As we neared the vehicle for a first look, it was very apparent that the 2012 vehicle had a rippled area where it had been hit and recently repainted. It was claimed to be unnoticeable when conversing with the dealership prior to our trip due to the sunlight on the day the walk around was done. Really; by the people in the car business who portray themselves knowledgeable experts? Upon further inspection, it was evident that the vehicle had had the entire front and side repainted, as fresh paint and over spray were detected. Needless to say, the clean AutoCheck was due to the fact that the necessary bodywork was not turned in to a repair shop, and thus would not show up on a used car history report. This was done either by the dealer before we arrived, or by someone not caring to do the job properly. After driving for hours, this car was misrepresented enough that it was not even worthy of a test drive. This is the second time time we have had used cars misrepresented by large dealerships. Based on our first (and last) experience, be aware that what you see is not always what you get here as far as used vehicles, and there are too many places deserving of your business. More
As bad as it can get. They ask you to fill a form saying its commitment to buy as soon as you enter. They asked for my social security and next day I got an alert that they pulled my credit report even thou its commitment to buy as soon as you enter. They asked for my social security and next day I got an alert that they pulled my credit report even though there was no deal and no application for the loan was made. When I call next dat, Andrew Krueck was rude over the phone and kept on saying that I filled the form. Stay away from this dealership. Your credit is more important than checking for price from just another dealer. More
They put the word sleazy into sleazy car salesman. Jaime is like a snake and you will recognize him cause when he grins, he looks like one. Tom seemed to always wear sunglasses. Tom was not personable at is like a snake and you will recognize him cause when he grins, he looks like one. Tom seemed to always wear sunglasses. Tom was not personable at all. They would not seem to offer a REAL price for a car, it was one game after another and I just eventually walked out. Jaime said what's the problem with a little profit? ($4000 is not a little) He said otherwise I would be stealing the car. Stay away from these crooks. They tell you that your car is junk and theirs is like brand new. More
Worst experience ever. After having my car totalled I went to this dealership considering a purchase of a Genesis. The salesman was so rude it was hard to phantom that he actually sold cars for a living. went to this dealership considering a purchase of a Genesis. The salesman was so rude it was hard to phantom that he actually sold cars for a living. Stay clear of this dealership. I left and went to look into a Lincoln (which I am also interested in) and they truly know how to treat a customer. While I haven't made my purchase yet whichever car I decide to buy won't be buying an air freshener from this place. More
I had my vehicle 05 Acura MDX service with Hetrich Acura. I noticed that the LED indicator on switch that turns ON fog light is not working after the service. I had showed the same to the service manager whe I noticed that the LED indicator on switch that turns ON fog light is not working after the service. I had showed the same to the service manager when I picked up my vehicle. He told that he needs to get manager's permission to fix the issue and he would call me on my cell in week’s time. I never got phone call which was promised by the service associate. More
I would not recommend this dealership to anyone. If I knew the proper authority to contact, I would. These people seem to a lot of SHIGHTERS. I went in to purchase a 2012 Hyundai Sonata and they jam a 20 knew the proper authority to contact, I would. These people seem to a lot of SHIGHTERS. I went in to purchase a 2012 Hyundai Sonata and they jam a 2007 Ford Taurus down my throat. Said I couldn't qualify credit wise for the car. I traded a 2006 Saturn ION. Onlt thing wrong was it needed a new windshield. I believe the trade-in was $750.00. I feel like they really gave me a royal screw job. I also was very displeased with the car stopping on me with a bad alternator and battery. To my surprise, they didn't charge me for anything. I still would not recommend anyone to these vultures. Came through the Internet Dept, spoke with Joe Torres Internet Manager. Right from the start, he listened to my concerns offering a Very Competative Number. After setting up an appointment he had the MDX Internet Manager. Right from the start, he listened to my concerns offering a Very Competative Number. After setting up an appointment he had the MDX clean and ready to drive. I did have a Trade-In not telling him when I called, they offered me a Fair Figure and we closed a Deal. Joe Torres got the paperwork processed and I was sent into the Finance Office to sign the paperwork, the Finance Manager reviewed all the products they had to offer allowing me to purchase Gap Ins and an Extended Warranty. Finally getting out of the Finance Dept, their was my New Acura all cleaned and a Full Tank of Gas. Looking to drive my New Car, Joe Torres took the time to hookup my cell phone and put my Home Address for the Nav System. Even though the purchase took 3 hours, I must say attention to detail and my all of my concerns were handled Very Professionally by Joe Torres and the Entire Acura Staff. I am going to tell all my friends how I was deal with, I gave this location a chance again because the reviews weren't true handled and Joe Torres represents the Hertrich Company Very Well and started the Buying Process reassuring me he would make it a great expirence if I would give him a chance. Hertrich bought this dealership, they refuse to honor the free oil changes that I paid for with my Acura. Does not matter if you have proof. They say it is not their policy to honor any promises made by the free oil changes that I paid for with my Acura. Does not matter if you have proof. They say it is not their policy to honor any promises made by the old Dealership. They said I would have to pay $68 for just an oil change and over $100 for the "package" of oil, tire rotation and checking fluid levels. I said (politely, I am a 58 year old woman and was taught that way) that a policy like this was not a way to keep goodwill. In a rude way they told me that I had no right to feel that way, no legal right to service, and that I had no right to be upset by that. I had always thought that goodwill was defined by how I felt, not by what they thought I had a right to feel. I said I thought I was a pretty valuable customer to make mad, perhaps they could discount this one change. They said this is never done for anyone and I hadn't had service often enough to be a valuable customer anyway. Beware if you are buying a NEW car. With new cars, you only get oil changes if you agree to pay for all the services they think you need, at whatever rate they are charging, with the oil changes. So if they think you need something expensive they do not have to call you first, they do the work, and you have to sign a paper before you leave your car to this effect. Then SURPRIZE! when you come to pick it up and find hundreds of dollars of work done. I would not buy a car here. Nor service one. They were not nice about this. They do not deserve your business.
