Hello and thank you in advance for reading my review on the Hertrich Chevrolet GMC Buick dealership. This whole experience started where I was having no luck in finding a particular vehicle in my area (Rh the Hertrich Chevrolet GMC Buick dealership. This whole experience started where I was having no luck in finding a particular vehicle in my area (Rhode Island), and when extending my search criteria, I found the vehicle which I was looking for at this Hertrich dealership. Without delay, I contacted the dealership and made a request that they put a hold on the vehicle so that I may have the opportunity to drive down to the dealership (7 hours one way), view the vehicle, and hopefully purchase same. My call was then transferred to the general manager, whom graciously stated that he would in fact hold the vehicle for me. Upon my arrival the following day, I was greeted by general manager Patrick Papineau and salesman, Alex White. The gentlemen immediately brought me to what I can now say is my vehicle, and I couldn't have been more pleased with not just the greeting, but the condition of the vehicle. I got the impression that like a chef at a fine cuisine restaurant, prepared and plated a fine presentation of the vehicle for my viewing. The salesman, Alex White, was extremely knowledgeable and helpful with providing information on the vehicle along with setting up my Bluetooth and contacting my insurance company to add my vehicle to the policy. Upon my completion of the transaction with Alex, Alex then led me to the finance department where I dealt with Kendall Henry to finalize my purchase and complete the paperwork. Before I had my gluteus maximus in the seat, Kendall had all my paperwork on the desk ready for me to sign, and she had me out in under 10 minutes. Upon completion of the documentation with Kendall, I gave a final thank you and goodbye to Kendall, then with GM, Patrick Papineau, and salesman, Alex White. As mentioned above, I'm from Rhode Island, and my typical experiences at dealerships are never easy and or enjoyable as typically, and traditionally, there's a lot of haggling and other xx with the salesman and then comes the assistant manager and or general manager to talk to you and come out with the infamous phrase “what can we do to convince you to buy this vehicle”. Well, I'm not sure if it's a southern thing or what, but my experience at this dealership was profound. I found that they were not the typical dealership. They were beyond professional, kind, personable, organized, efficient, and genuine. They truly treated me like family. I can honestly say from the time I arrived till the time I departed from the dealership was probably a total of an hour and a half, and most of that involved simple talk between a northerner and a few southerners. Though the drive there and back was not the greatest and or shortest trip, I would gladly travel back to this dealership for any future purchases, and highly recommend this dealership to all that is looking to purchase a new or newer vehicle. Purchasing a new or newer vehicle should be an exciting experience, not a stressful one. Thank you all who took the time to read this review, and a great big thank you once again to Patrick, Alex, and Kendall. I also would like to thank the Chef that prepared my plate, good job on the presentation, it was a 10 out of 10 (of course I am talking about the detailing department). Lastly, to the CEO of Hertrich Motor Group, you have a great staff at this dealership. The dealership is beyond well managed and the staff is truly an asset to the Hertrich Motor Group. More

Angie is always professional and thorough, and after the routine maintenance, she spelled out what was needed going forward. Kendra lies to you about the deals you think you are getting while you are signing. I trusted her. I looked at the contract after I got home. The numbers was different then what we talked about. I ended up paying $29,000 for a car that should have cost $23,000. The add ons and up charges are ridiculous. They didn't have the discounts that promised also. I would rate my experience lower then zero. They were supposed to give me $8,000. for my car. On the contract it was only $6,000. They bought by car then charged me tire disposal for the car they just bought. I was shocked when I realized I finance over $13,000. I told them I could not go over $3,000. She let me sign the contract with out telling me how much my loanwas. They don't care about the financial needs of their customers. I think they call it bate and switch. They should have told me they couldn't do the deal I expected ! More
Terrible customer service one the service department . Charged me $788 to fix me window and it’s still not working !! Diagnosis said it was the door motor . They put a new one in and now they’re saying it’s the switch . They don’t carry the part so I have to find the part bring my car back and they will put the switch in . Of course I have to pay for this . Manager was a total xxxxxxx . Refused to adjust my bill could care less that my problem is not resolved . I’ve been a customer for over 6 years . Stay far away from this place !!!! More

I was told they had a vehicle pick up/drop off service that may not go far enough for me, but the advisor would check and call me back. I got no call. I called again, was told they have no such service, but the shuttle could drop me off at home, they needed to confirm some things and would get back to me. Once again (3x now for those keeping track) no call. I called back again the next day, explained that I was tired of being told I would get a call and not getting one, and just wanted to confirm that the preauthorization that was repeatedly told I needed for my service plan had been done and that they had the parts for the recall I was coming in for. Only this time was I told that the shuttle only went 15 miles, and that they wouldn't actually be performing the recall work, just an inspection and that if the work was required I would need to come back after they got the parts. At this point, over 2 weeks past when I made the appointment the oil change was no longer negotiable, so I said fine and planned to just wait for the car because I just needed it done. Car gets dropped off, night drop filled out, and I get a call at 7:22am that I have 2 recalls, not one, and oh by the way, we no longer accept any service plans. I explain that this is the 4th person I'd talked to, mentioning it multiple times to each of them, and all I had been told was that a preauthorization was required. I'm told the manager says they don't accept maintenance plans anymore. Get his name, and am offered the chance to speak with him. When speaking with Mike Devaney I ask how it is that the first 3 people I spoke with about the service plan made no mention of them not being accepted. He says well it's a change. I ask if it had changed since the day before, that being the last time I had talked to someone about it. No, that person just had the wrong information. I said well who's fault is that, certainly not mine, and am told we don't take service plans. Ok fine, do the recall work and I'll take my car elsewhere after that is done. I'm not paying for service that I have already paid for with my plan. He confirmed I wanted the car serviced, I said ONLY the recalls, I'll take my car elsewhere from now on after the recall work. He says ok, I hang up. Within a few minutes he calls back and says that I can pickup the car whenever I want as they have decided the will not be doing the recall work. I confirmed what he was saying, asking "let me get this right, you already have my car and an appointment, and now you are refusing to do the recall work even though my car is already in your posession? I am being refused service?" He says yes. I was in shock, said OK THEN, and hung up. The recall I knew about when the car got dropped off is for 3rd row seatbelts. The second recall I was told about during the first call this morning is for something with the daytime running lights. Guess I had better hope I don't need those seat belts before I'm able to get in with another dealership since Hertrich couldn't be bothered to provide me service for a manufacturer's recall. I will never have anything to do with this dealership ever again, and I will be filing a complaint with the NHTSA as well. More
Disappointing customer service. Would not allow us to pay over the phone for the inspection service and refused to help the tow company locate the truck they parked on their lot. Very disappointed. More
My husband and I were looking for weeks for a used car which would fit our needs. after many trips to different dealerships and the frustration of having a really hard time finding a used car which woul which would fit our needs. after many trips to different dealerships and the frustration of having a really hard time finding a used car which would fit our budget and work for us and our english mastiffs, we luckily received an email from Madison Hill ( Sales Associate ) that she would do her very best to help us find what we been looking for. She kept her word and as we walked in at the dealer ship we been greeted with professionalism and outstanding customer care. Madison showed us a Minivan she thought could be of our interest and Sales Manager "Roby " (Robert) helped figuring out the numbers. Both truly put their best efforts out there , including the person in the finance department to make this buy a great experience. Thank you ! Truly a great place with great employees!!! More
