I waited over two hours to be told it would cost over $600 to fix something. We have always had excellent service but this time everything went wrong. We ordered a part and waited... we had to call to find out it was sitting there. Then a 3 hour job turned into 2 full days and everything went wrong. We ordered a part and waited... we had to call to find out it was sitting there. My vehicle, purchased new from Herlong, had an issue with paint peeling around the windshield. When I called the service department, the rep on the phone said my car was not under warranty (it was). She finally agreed with me and told me to come in so they could take pictures. Six months later, I was still waiting to have my vehicle repaired. All that needed to be done was for someone to submit the work order (paperwork) so that I could take my car to a body shop. After I made 20+ calls to the service department, the reps always told me they could’ve find their service manager. I never once received a call back from him after leaving messages and no one could give me a timeframe when I could expect to have the issue repaired. My husband finally drove all the way out to the dealership to talk to someone face-to-face. The work order was on the service manager’s desk, and he submitted it while my husband was there. Why did it take so long? Why did my husband have to go make an in-person visit in order for a simple task to be completed? The excuse was they were understaffed. At what point is a six-month-long issue prioritized? To me, it was inexcusable and I will not be going back to this dealership. More
