I was coming from out of state so I needed to call and setup a time. When I got there the vehicle was out front, ready for a test drive. Prepare mentally for the oncoming “pushy salesmen.” And then… they don’t come. Instead, you get friendly people who don’t try to “push” anything on you. They’re helpful. They listen. They’re accommodating. Tim W was an awesome sales rep. He is amazing and makes the process really smooth. He goes above and beyond for his customers and tries to help as much as possible. Dave P was a great finance manager - explained all the options and what was best for our needs. Great small talk. We were so satisfied with my husband's purchase of a new Ford Ranger that we decided to purchase my new Ford EcoSport on the same time. We both had traded vehicles and we got what we wanted. Definitely recommend. More
I've got to say that shopping for a car is one of my least favorite things to do. However, between Matt, Danny and especially Dave over at Putnam Ford they made it easy and actually somewhat fun. Even being a little credit challenged I was able to purchase the vehicle I wanted at a fair price without the needless back and forth. Whenever my next vehicle purchase is Putnam Ford it will be the first place that I go! Edit! Okay, so maybe it won't be the first place I go. The service department??? I have had a few issues with the vehicle since purchase. Now I have had to drive back and forth to the dealership 4 times. Seatbelt stuck, outlets not working two visits and this last time was due to failing MA inspection for the hazard lights not working. Back and forth, back and forth. I asked service department about a vibration when on the highway, they say the tires need to be balanced but I will need to pay for it. I know it's a used car but I got it 2 weeks ago. You can't cover a tire balancing? Another edit! Basically I have had this vehicle 3 weeks. Started it up two days ago and its beeping at me telling me I need an oil change. Driven less than 800 miles and I need an oil change? Hop in yesterday take a right hand turn and now it sounds like I have the wheel of fortune under the hood. Simply the best! I am from out-of-state. My vehicle experienced its 2nd major, expensive problem within 4 days - its 19 yr old - and I knew the time had come to part I am from out-of-state. My vehicle experienced its 2nd major, expensive problem within 4 days - its 19 yr old - and I knew the time had come to part with it and purchase another used vehicle. I went on-line, found the vehicle I wanted, went to Putnam Ford, test drove it with Aaron, and he completed the transaction within a few days. Aaron is honest and friendly, and I thank him from the bottom of my heart for his abundant patience. I needed to keep my NY plates, so an employee drove to NY and obtained a new NY registration for me, along with the 10 day temporary inspection sticker, until I drive to NY and have it inspected within 10 days. Aaron drove out to the house, and brought me to the dealership to complete the paperwork, and, additionally, he drove to the house to put the NY plates on the vehicle for me. Talk about going the extra mile - it was 100 miles, and all with a smile and humor. Aaron you're amazing. Everyone I dealt with on the phone, or along the way with the transaction were respectful, and polite -no pushy or snarky salesmen here. Hassle free car buying experience! Tim was an awesome salesman from the beginning! Told him what 3 cars I was interested in looking at when I showed up and he got the keys right away an Tim was an awesome salesman from the beginning! Told him what 3 cars I was interested in looking at when I showed up and he got the keys right away and gave me time to check out all three before really deciding what I wanted. After taking it for a test drive and falling in love everything else really fell into place! He knew what kind of budget I had given myself and did everything he could to make it work for me! David was great when it came to all the financing paperwork, he explained everything in great detail and made everything clear to understand. There were a few bumps in the road on my end but that didn’t stop him from getting me into the car I really had my heart set on! Great team and never once felt rushed! More
